SPY REPORT
Welcome to New Seam, my darlings! It is a marvelous day in the arena with a
bright blue sky above, chilled wine in hand, and fights on the arena sands! I know we
can have arena days with only the latter, but what fun is that? You have to enjoy
life while you can. You never know when a miffed witch is going to put a curse on you
and ruin your life... but I digress. Let's take a look at the games!
I can never understand going to the effort of taking the Duelmaster's title and
then quitting. I mean, I understand it in other arenas where tourney classifications
come into play, but not here in Seam. Nutbolt Larry went through all the effort to
become Duelmaster last turn but does not bother to show up for turn 90. So, our title
fight came down to the match between Vault and Graveborn Paladin. Both of these
veterans have been in Seam long enough for the crowds to recognize them, and it was a
wonderful match of skill! When the dust settled in the 2-minute fight, Graveborn
Paladin was crowned our newest Duelmaster! Congrats to GP, who is managed by Nomad.
It looks as if the gladiators over at Darque Knights are the most feared in the
arena. Or, they are probably just in the right places at the wrong times for the
other teams of the arena. Who avoided them the most you ask? It was Weirding Ways.
The most challenged warrior for the turn was Heimdall. It did not matter though
because Heimdall got his challenge through to Invert of Pixelbenders. He lost, but it
was an upchallenge of recognition points and fight experience, so no one was too
surprised by the outcome.
You gentlemen were quite... how shall I say, bloodthirsty this turn. Well, it
isn't my favorite topic, but the news must be reported. Let's just start at the top
of the list. Happy Peasant was cut down by Scythe. If we are honest, he had the same
chance of dying to a scythe in the fields as well with work conditions being what they
are. Mdjai had made it 34 figths in the arena, but that came to a halt with number 35
as Dearly Departed put her down for a final record of 12-23-1. She follows her
teammate Rainerio, who met a similar fate last turn. Next, we find the arena long-
stay Void dead in the Dark Arena. Lost Sentinels finally gave up on him and he leaves
with a 5-18-1 record. Wicked met an end at the hands of Dead Girl. That feels
backwards, but let's move on! Mr. Delicious of Thirsty Thugs died in his first fight
against Grey Mouser, who also had his first fight. Last, Weirdo sent One Course Meal
to face High Elf in the Dark Arena.
Phantom Regiment stays on top with an impressive 13-2-2 record. Pixelbenders had
the biggest of gain of the turn, jumping 8 spots to take over 2nd place. Losers went
3-2-2 to move up to 3rd, while Darque Knights and Thirtsy Thugs round out the top 5.
Hombre has gone missing with his Marvel team and would take the biggest drop in
rankings if we recognized the inactive, but we do not. So, that distinction goes to
Huckle's Cats as they fell 5 spots. No graduates this turn, but we bid farewell to
Lord Protector Zushi, who fought his last turn in Seam.
Time for me to go, my sweets! The nobles are debating some frivolous ordinances,
and my presence has been requested. Unless it has to do with the winter fashion line,
I have no interest in such things on a personal level. Perhaps I can make it
interesting on the professional level. I hope to see each of you next turn. I am
also hoping that Hombre will be back with Marvel, but he appears set on his course to
bring in a new team. Oh well, it will be good to have everyone here regardless! See

In the interest of preserving our natural resources and preventing managerial writer's
cramp, the census form has been eliminated, effective immediately. Managers may
register their warriors' races and/or favorite sayings by simply writing them on a
separate piece of paper and submitting them to the Commission. Each warrior may have
up to 15 favorite sayings. Each saying must be categorized Jeer, Gloat, Boredom, Ouch,
Victory and may be up to 70 characters long. For any questions, please contact the
Gladiatorial Commission.
This is just a reminder to all participants in this arena that it is a no-tourney
arena, and is therefore subject to the no-tourney rules. The pledge all participants

TEAM AND CHARACTER MAINTENANCE SERVICE
As a service to all managers, we offer team and character maintenance. This
option allows you to make sure your team or selected warriors will never miss a turn!
Team Maintenance: This will cause all warriors on that team to fight every
turn; if it's an AD arena, any new warriors who arrive on that team will
fight the turn they arrive. In A.D. or in transfer arenas where you have
multiple teams, each team will need to separately be on Team Maintenance.
(The only exception is new warriors; they will not fight until they have had
their initial strategy input.)
Character Maintenance: This will cause only that warrior to fight every
turn. If the character graduates or changes arenas, he/she/it will stay on
Character Maintenance.
In either case, you may submit strategy sheets for your warriors each turn, if
you wish. The Team/Character Maintenance will make sure your warriors fight each
turn, and they will always use their most recently entered strategy.
Remember that challenges, avoids, and challenge/if challenged strategies will not
carry through from turn to turn. These sections are only used on the turn they are
entered. In order to continually challenge or avoid you will need to submit a
strategy sheet each time.
One other thing to remember about maintenance: Maintenance is not something
that you write on your turnsheet (like in demo tourneys). In order to add or remove
maintenance for a team or warrior, you must send a note to Customer Service. If you
just write things like this on your strategy sheet, they may or may not get done.
Likewise, don't write it on your personal ads. Please, please, please put it on a
separate piece of paper with "Customer Service" written on the top. If you don't,
well, you can imagine.
