Notes from the arena champ.
Well, that was unexpected. Not the fact that I fought on of the Lynxears. There
were enough of those around that it seemed quite likely. And not the win either. I
was reasonably confident going into that one. But a kill? I didn't see that coming.
Evidently neither did Castor, although with those ears you would have thought he might
have heard it coming. But then maybe death, creepy old pile o' bones that he is,
moves softly. Actually, from personal experience I can say that he does move quietly.
Sneaky little bugger. Nabs you with that scythe when you least expect it. At least
that was my experience. And Castor certainly did seem surprised. Who knows, maybe he
can join our squad soon? As for the kill, my apologies to the Darque knights. It was
not intentional -- just look at our teams respective kill totals and you can tell we
don't try to recruit that way. And killing a vet like Castor always stinks. But such
is the way of the arena. Even those who look skilled and determined can push it too
far. I await the Knight's bloodfeud should they wish to pursue it.
As for the rest of the arena, it was a good turn for the Phantoms. Only 3-2
overall, but the throne and five free fights. You don't see that very often in a
reasonably sized arena. The boss was happy with that. You can add me to the count of
pleased as well. Not so much about the kill, but the other result of that fight was
me sitting here and penning this little message -- words of wisdom from the
Duelmaster. At least words from me anyway, that wisdom piece might be pushing it a
bit far. But I am the Duelmaster and I will take it! At least for one turn. Looking
down and seeing a piker, striker and basher (with a bloodfeud on me) doesn't exactly
warm this slashers heart. No sense worrying about matchups. I'll take on whoever
wants a shot.

SPY REPORT
Hello, my sweets! Ah, it is so good to hear from you each fo you again. Welcome
to turn 99 for Seam! Yes, we are on the eve of our arena's century turn! We do not
have to save all the fun for next cycle. This turn had enough of its own excitement.
Let's not dawdle and waste any of our time together! Shall we take a stroll through
this turn's arena news?
Dearly Departed took the throne last turn after killing Castor Lynxear in the
Title fight. Seam has been abuzz over the death, mainly because Castor's brother is
an active gladiator in our arena. People were wondering how he would respond. Well,
we do not have to guess any longer. Pollux Lynxear challenged Dearly Departed for the
throne, but probably more for vengeance. Sadly, or perhaps ot if you are a fan of
Dearly Departed, Pollux was not able to get either victory or vengeance. Dearly
Departed remains our Duelmaster after defeating Pollux in a 2-minute fight. Congrats
once again to Nomad and his gladiators on the accomplishment.
The most avoided team is Losers. They were most avoided by Ganolus's Oakleaf
guild. The most challenged warrior for turn 99 is Twofeet D'Grave. Craggy Matterhorn
. . . oh my, I'm loving these names. Ahem, Craggy Matterhorn challenged Twofeet
D'Grave. The defender wins this round as Twofeet walks all over Matterhorn in another
2-minute fight. It was a 9 point up challenge for Craggy, and it just so happens to
be the largest up challenge for the turn. Not many people reaching for the stars
here, eh? Well, there was the Title Fight - Bloodfeud that was 28 points, but who is
counting those?
There were lots of changes in the top 5 rankings this turn. Pixelbenders move
into 1st place from 4th and have a 10-5-0 record over the last 3 turns. They are the
only guild in the double-digit win category. Oakleaf is closing in after moving from
3rd to 2nd. Thirsty Thugs fall from 1st to 3rd after a 3-1-0 turn. Hey, DMobster!
You're missing a warrior! 80s Fantasy drops to 4th and Phantom Regiment has the
turn's largest rise, going from 9th to 5th. The biggest lose for the turn belongs to
Huckle's Cats, who fell out of the top 5 into 11th place.
There were only Dark Arena deaths this turn, so I'll close out the report with a
plea to each manager. WRITE A SPOTLIGHT OR SOME PERSONAL ADS FOR OUR 100TH TURN!!!
It would be great to see everyone participate on such a milestone turn! I hope to see

a much better style of art if you leave the little dots together. Start spreading
them out and they just turn into so many spots. Plus it gets kinda bloody. In the
