Notes from the arena champ.

Hail and well met my fellow gladiators, tis I, your drunken Duelmaster, Pabby Blue
Ribs. Nice to get to sit on the throne again, as I did many moons ago back in my
birthplace of Noblish Island. It is odd for me, a high born, to mingle with you lowly
lot, but Biff says I must.

I once again squared off against Hydra (we've tussled many a time and know each
other's strengths and weaknesses), who with their knowledge of favorites would surely
offer up a competitive finish before they head off. Sadly it wasn't to be and instead
poor Hydra will need to be carried on a stretcher, beaten and battered body covered in
bandages, and, ugh, I even hate to say this, probably also sober, to the Isle. Maybe
your manager will learn a few things with their next contender or, as he mentioned in
the newsletter, just DA the lot of you. Probably a better idea, especially with the
incoming HUGE contest our Syndicate will be running. I do hope Eli plans on hanging
around and fighting in it. The more the merrier!

Supposedly I have warriors to challenge buuuuuut I mostly just see a whole lotta
shields with, I assume, warriors hiding behind them. Not sure how Seam has turned into
TP land, but maybe myself and my sparring partner, Drink Em Up, can work on that issue
this coming turn. Remember, killing TP's is what nature and God, aka, Biff "The Boss"
Frothingslosh, intended.

Biff says I need to be more concise, well actually, he was yelling that at Alf when he
said that but I think he meant me as well, so I will end this here. I wish you all
much success in the coming year because all you non Frothingslosher's are gonna need
it!

Hail SEAM! Warriors of the arena, prepare to be praised and blamed for your
deeds. Now keep the taverns open late tonight, for there are sorrows to drown for
WEIRDING WAYS, whose 0-0-0 this turn dropped them by 5 into 14th. PHARMANOMICON
stable has parlayed this turn's 3-1-0 into a 5 space move up the rankings. This
brings them up to 9th place. Good work, guys! The METAL BLADE guild has had a 5-0-0
turn and deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this kind of
thing can lead. DRINK EM UP has lost to CUT & PASTE, falling 36 points, while
helping make BEER BELLIES a 2-3-0 turn. Defending hers title for another turn, PAPPY
BLUE RIBS kept DARQUE KNIGHTS' warrior, PASCAL LYNXEAR, from claiming the throne.
Can someone confirm a rumor for me? I hear the top team makes their losing fighters
do dishes at The Stoned Golem until they win. Maybe?
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. DARQUE KNIGHTS has cause to stand tall, as
they were SEAM's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a team to beat.
And avoiding DARQUE KNIGHTS more than any other team we find BEER BELLIES. SEAM, are
we going to accept, or respect this sort of thing? The most challenged warrior this
turn was UNLIKELY HEROES' warrior SUPER CHICKEN. More fighters challenged him than
challenged the Duelmaster! In a fit of brilliance or of stupidity (hard to say
sometimes), SISTER GARLIC challenged VERTEX today, facing a 26 difference in
recognition. And crowds were on their feet when SISTER GARLIC claimed a victory from
VERTEX, and now has 100 points for hers efforts. Tsk, tsk, tsk. BOZO THE CLOWN,
does your manager know you're challenging down 22 points to fight ETERNAL BLOSSOM
from DARQUE KNIGHTS? We're not surprised to hear that BOZO THE CLOWN beat ETERNAL
BLOSSOM, but I bet it would be interesting to hear why ALFREDOVISION(TM) made such a
challenge. In a brave attempt, COMMAND X from PIXELBENDERS challenged up 21 points
to fight SUPER CHICKEN from the UNLIKELY HEROES stable. COMMAND X perhaps got hers
just desserts, seeing as she subdued SUPER CHICKEN and ended up with 106 recognition
points. BOOZY SOOZY of BEER BELLIES had better have a good reason for challenging
down 8 points in a challenge which she lost. I thought BOOZY SOOZY showed great
skill and promise when she was bested by THE SILENT OWL. All right, so I slept
through it! Big deal!
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. Had I not seen it, it would be hard to believe. UNDO was sent to the Dark
Arena and lived to tell about it! Makes you think, no? Congratulations go out to
ROBO VILLAGE, with THE REDNECK revenging a bloodfeud against ERASE of PIXELBENDERS.
The Stoned Golem declares a free round for GOAT WITH NO NAME and all of
ALFREDOVISION(TM), for having revenged LOST SENTINELS' GUMBO for killing one of their
comrades. We'd like to remind certain teams not to rob the graves of their enemies.
You know who you are; and it's considered rude.

This is just a reminder to all who plan to enter the contest in Seam that it is a

no-tourney arena, and is therefore subject to the no-tourney rules. The pledge all
participants must take when entering a team in this arena is as follows:

NO-TOURNEY ARENA PLEDGE

* I pledge that I will not send warriors from this team to a tournament, nor
will I use a tournament prize on a warrior from this team.
* I pledge to run a full team when I run turns in this arena. If circumstances
preclude my running less than a full team, I will notify the Player Committee.
* I agree to abide by the decisions of the Player Committee.
* I understand that any warrior that participates in a tournament or receives
a tournament prize shall be sent to the Dark Arena until they are dead.
