SPY REPORT
Here we are once again, my darlings, amid the excitement that is arena day in New
Seam. It is still a joy to watch all of the new teams enter the arena. We know you
are here for the contest, but we welcome you and hope to see you for many turns into
the future. I think you will find our little arena most hospitable. No, I take that
back. You will find SEAM, the area most hospitable, the arena is a different story
entirely. Speaking of which, let's take a look at our happenings today.
Cut & Paste took over the throne last turn after Pappy Blue Ribs cut and run from the
arena. Well, he didn't run away. Beer Bellies transferred to Telorinthe according to
the spy reporter in that arena. Regardless, the outcome was still the same and we got
a new Duelmaster last turn with Cut & Paste. In my experience watching these games,
getting the throne is oftentimes easier than keeping the throne. Case in point, Cut &
Paste was challenged by Helstar of Metal Blade and LOST! It was an 8-minute fight,
but in the end, Helstar is our newest Duelmaster. If my records are correct, Helstar
and his Metal Blade guild are managed by Producer. Congrats to Helstar!
Avoids are still acceptable leading up to turn 199, so we still have news to report
for now. The most avoided team was Call Your Shot. They were mostly avoided by Way of
All Flesh. The most challenged warrior today turns out to be Mayor Fox from Huckle's
Cats. I have heard that foxes can be sly, so be careful! It was Teepeetotaler that
got a challenge through to Mayor Fox and beat him in 5-minutes. Welcome to Local Girls
and Akakia. Enjoy your stay!
We had 24 active teams and 64 fights overall. It is always nice to see the arena so
active. How many are going to make it for the long haul of the contest? I'm rooting
for all of you - well, I'm rooting for you as much as I can as compensated spy
reporter who is charged with remaining neutral! I better move on!
It was not a particularly deadly turn OUTSIDE of the Dark Arena. I only saw one death
on the regular sands when Grocery Delivery got put down by Hoeb. There is always
something that feels more "permanent" about death in these no-tourney arenas. Thank
goodness for modern medicines (and ancient magic) to help those who are injured. The
Dark Arena stayed busy all night as 8 warriors were sent to kill or be killed by
torchlight. The DA crew was efficient this night and no warriors returned.
Okay, time for me to go my sweets! I have to travel to the upcoming tournament. I
know we don't participate in them here, but I'm still required to report on them to
the boss. Good luck to any managers that are making the trip or participating! Stay

2-3 turn. Mountain went to the Dark arena and his replacement is going to either be a
total bust or a winner. Landlord, I never participate in arena tournaments so I never
read the ads for them. Since I pretty much have no choice but to participate and I
have zero intentions of not running a team here, I might as well put my ring in the
hat and hope for the best. Do I expect to win? Heck no. I never try to win but the
nice thing is that managers all start relatively even instead of bringing in arena
squads with FE 20 warriors. Anyway, I will continue to do what I normally do, but
instead of running on maintenance like I have been I'll actually try to win fights and
use tactics. Still not sure why beer is the prize or whatever, but being able to pick
the best roll up out of a bunch seems like a cool deal. So hope that clears up for
you why I am not up to date on this beer tourny thing. Oh and what's wrong with living

ran instead, so I'm going to go ahead and award you with a bottle for turn 1/184. I
don't know exactly what happened in this case, but please be careful in the future.

Hey contestants, please take care that all your warriors get input correctly. It is
always advisable to include your warrior's name in addition to ID# on your strategy
sheets. While it is true that warrior's are input by their ID# only, if you do happen
to get a bad ID# input it is much more likely that it will be caught if you also have
the warrior's name on the strategy sheet as well. I myself have had *many* bad ID#'s
on my strategy sheets lately, and Sandy has caught every one because I always include
my warrior's name on the strategy sheets as well. -- alfredo
Also, BE AWARE that the requirement to field a full team of 5 warriors in order to
avoid incurring a penalty is already in force! Any rookie not showing up will incur a
1-bottle penalty, and any warrior that has at least one arena fight will incur a 3-
bottle penalty for not fighting. It is highly recommended that you put your team on
maintenance so this does not happen. There is no penalty. however, for your entire
team missing a turn. -- alfredo

#1) Is there a hidden meaning behind the specific "status badge" symbol of O^O? Are
they beer goggles?
#2) I do not mind when a CotS replacement is used. I think there should be zero
requirements for when to use or how many are used at a time.
#3) How many teams are participating in the Bottles contest? I counted 10 teams
through the personal ads last turn... There are more, right?
#4) How do / would I know if my team's "team maintenance" is working/active?
#5) Is it acceptable to put "team #83" instead of "Cereal Killers" each time I comment
in the personal ads to serve as the pre-contest requirement?
