SPY REPORT
So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. What goes up, must come down. Watch out SEAM!
ROBO VILLAGE may fall on you as it crushes past the teams below it to fall on the
17th spot. Suffering under a 2-3-0 record and dropping from 8th to 20th place were
the DARQUE KNIGHTS. Keep trying! LOST SENTINELS is no joke as it posted a 4-0-0
week advancing from 20th place to 13th place. Hey everybody, watch out for VERTEX,
who flew up 21 points in the rankings after mashing PASCAL LYNXEAR like a melon.
Keep your eye on this gal. Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on the
sands. THE SILENT OWL was overcame by THE HANDYMAN and drops 15 points. Our
battling duelmaster HELSTAR has managed to hold the title, fending off CAPTAIN
OBVIOUS' none too subtle advances. Better luck next time, WEIRDING WAYS. An apple a
day keeps the doctor away, but an onion a day keeps T.P.s at bay.
Here is other news that is of note. And hey, kiddies, those of you who didn't
avoid CALL YOUR SHOT, please raise you hand. Wow. Does SEAM really have that many
liars? Okay, so I may not be funny, but catch WAY OF ALL FLESH's act in the arena.
Those acrobats seem to be fairly deft at running from CALL YOUR SHOT. Well dang
howdy, but if challenges were votes, TUMBLE BELLY would be president. Although it
may be a contest he doesn't want to win. Getting lots of flowers from sympathetic
fans was MAYOR FOX, who was successfully challenged by NAKED AND AFRAID who had a
mere 17 points more than MAYOR FOX. Here is a definition of happiness: MAYOR FOX
subdued NAKED AND AFRAID to go from 4 to 25 recognition points. DARK INEBRIATOR of
200 PROOF had better have a good reason for challenging down 12 points in a challenge
which she won. I thought DARK INEBRIATOR showed great skill and promise when she
subdued CHARTREUSE. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! The audience likes blood and
there was plenty of it covering DYNAMITE as she was driven to an early grave by
DOCTOR LION of the HUCKLE'S CATS. In the 'Oops, What Have I Done?' category,
PAYTRIOT GAME was mashed by FRIENDZONE, who let PAYTRIOT GAME know that killing
members of CONSTANT SORROW is a no-no. Remember: alliances are great, but try and
take your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in SEAM have no sense
of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
tracks. Its been real, and its been fun, but it hasn't been real fun...-- The

ad last turn which I do almost every turn so that's a good thing. Won all of my
challenges and was challenged and also won. Nice to know that I can win when I want
to. I'll be challenging all the way around and perhaps I'll get lucky and turn in a 5-
0 turn soon. Most likely it will be the other way around but we shall see. -- Eli

I confirm this. For what it's worth, Hal is much more likely to eat your

RULE CHANGE: There will be no penalty for a replacement warrior not fighting on its
first turn. As I said previously, sometimes these noobs get lost finding their way to
SEAM for their first fight, be it the fault of the team management giving them bad
directions, a joke pulled by one of their stablemates, or entirely a fault of their
own. In all seriousness, some managers might want to take a look at the rookie
warrior's overview prior to fighting, and that is certainly understandable. You will
also get credit for being "active" in regards to winning your activity bottle during
the warm-up, as long as all of the other warriors on the team are active.
HOWEVER...that first turn is your only "grace period;" any subsequent turn that a
rookie warrior misses will incur a 1 bottle penalty, AND your team will not get credit
for fielding a full team. Your team will, however, get credit for "not missing a turn"
for purposes of winning your consolation PotL replacement at contest end. -- alf
UPDATE: As long as I do not hear any objections, if you win multiple CotS replacements
the requirement to space them out 10 turns is being lifted. For example, if you win
first place, you will be able to start all 3 of your CotS replacements right away if
you wish. However, you don't "have to;" if you get a good natural replacement you may
go ahead and put off using your CotS replacement till you get something suitably "bad"
that you do not wish to use. -- alf

and I forgot to answer; 'Twas merely an oversight and not a snub, I assure you. So in
answer to your question...sure! A DM column would take care of the personal ad
requirement as well. During the warm-up phase things will be relatively chill. As long
as a manager even "breathes" on the newsletter he'll get credit. But note only 12/24
