Prize clarification

What I proposed is not a "snake draft." In a snake draft the order reverses every
round, thus reducing the advantage of having the first pick. I have the higher place
picking first in every round... thus making certain that the higher placing manager
retains his advantage:

I am proposing this simply to make certain that the winning player gets the best
choice.

Although ultimately you will only be using one rollup, a CotS replacement is 50
rollups. You ultimately choose 1 of the 50 and the other 49 are discarded. So in
essence it is true the first place manager will be picking "1 out of all 500" on his
first pick, but note that the other 49 rollups in the pack he chooses can no longer be
picked either.

Think of the prize pool as 10 stacks of teamsheets with 10 teamsheets in each stack.
After the first player picks, the entire pack of 10 teamsheets that he has chosen is
gone...not just the one rollup that he ultimately uses. so in effect 2nd place is
picking one out of the remaining 450 rollups, 3rd place picks among the remaining 400,
etc.

Additionally, just to be clear, the winners must pick 1 and only 1 rollup out of each
pack of 50. The first place winner, for example, must take 1 warrior from each of the
four different packs of 50 rollups he wins.

Notes from the arena champ.

What'll you'll looking at? Never seen a guy sitting on the throne drinking a Schlitz
with a pack of smokes? Well, ya have now, finally puttin a lil' class up here with
me, The Redneck taking what is mine. Guess that last fella went to get 'er dun at
night and left the place open, now ya got me.

I don't need no fancy stuff, I just got what I need, a few extra bucks to get some
beer. My ole lady busts my balls about not working much, but I have always said it is
a damn lazy man that can't find is ole lady a second job. She works hard to keep me
doing what I love, which is about every lady in the park, haha, know what I mean?

If you find yourself in Robo Village, swing by trailer #17, I'll be there rocking in
my chair, cool breeze in my mullet, smokes in hand and a sixer of Schlitz in my
topless cooler. Bring your own beer.

SPY REPORT

It is rumored that 4 out of 5 gladiators protect the body. I'm not sure who is
reporting that because it seems a bit high. When exactly was this poll taken? The
Gladiatorial Commission has not released anything new for quite some time now, so
maybe the polls need to be updated as well. The gladiators can worry about that
another day, assuming they make it to another day. This arena business is serious.
You will see when we get through this report. Let's jump in and see what happened in
our fair arena.

The Redneck took the throne on recognition points in the previous cycle. That sounds
a bit boring until you add he slaughtered another gladiator to reach that height!
Yes, that sounds much more dramatic. It is that scenario that sets up our title fight
for this turn. Pascal Lynxear came looking for a bit of revenge against The Redneck
for the slaying of his teammate. It took 8 minutes, but Pascal avenged the fallen and
became our newest Duelmaster. Congrats to Pascal, who is managed by Master Darque.

It looks as if Constant Sorrow is our most avoided team this week. They were mostly
avoided by Darque Knights. I am often interested in the most challenged warrior for
the turn. I can't explain why, perhaps it is knowing who the other gladiators view as
the weakest or at least the most vulnerable for the cycle. This week, we find the
arena setting its sights upon Pregnant Alcoholic. I have seen worse than 6-7-0 in the
arena, so this one is a tad surprising. We find Dark Inebriator of 200 Proof going
down 5 points to challenge Pregnant Alcoholic and winning in a 1-minute fight. Have
you no shame? is what I would ask a normal arena, but I already know the answer in
Seam.

This turn was deadly, but only if you were underperforming or the managers sensed
weakness in you. The Dark Arena crew was busy this week. There were 7 total deaths
and 6 of them came via the Dark Arena. Our only death upon the regular sands came
when Traffic Jams randomly matched up with What's Streaming. It appeared close for a
bit, but What's Streaming ended up making it a death match. Condolences to Constant
Sorrow, whose next warrior might bear the moniker Random Deathmatch. We will look to
see if Mannequin will seek vengeance for the death.

Constant Sorrow has jumped into the lead over the last 3 turns. They were previously
in the top 5, and the only team that remains from last cycle's list. Teams occupying
the other 4 spots have just entered the elite ranks, and some of those teams made
extraordinary leaps in the standings to get there! Pandemic Boredom came from 9th to
take over 2nd place. Thirsty Thugs had the turn's biggest gain moving to the 3rd
spot, all the way up from 12th. Call Your Shot has a slight increase by 2 ranks into
4th and rounding out our top 5 we have Huckle's Cats who moved an impressive 6 places.

That is all from me, my sweets! It is time to go. No, I am not leaving town. Why
would I? I have hot springs and great wine here in Seam. I have no need to go
anywhere else unless required by spy reporting. I do love it here, and I am glad the
games have returned and the arena is thriving! I cannot wait until the contest
officially starts, I feel like the excitement will only continue to grow! Until next

PERSONAL ADS

1-4 turn so since apparently I'm not allowed to complain about things I will do myself
a favor and will be getting rid of the majority of this squad to make new and more
diverse group of warriors. I'll not complain again nor will I worry about whether or
not I get a beer for participating in the arena tournament. I'm going to adopt a
golfers attitude towards the game, in that I can only control my actions and it's not
me vs anyone else but the game.. so I know what I have to do to succeed and not
playing up to my potential is just sheer laziness on my part because all I have been
doing is letting things coast on maintenance instead of playing the game. So, from
here on out, I will be trying to win my fights with the best strategies that I can
think of and win or lose its just a game. The only fighter that won't be going to the
DA is GI Jane and only because she has two 21's in will and deftness and I want to see
if I can get her to ADM. If not well she is a really cool rollup. -- Eli

the-barrel requirement of a bi-weekly ad that you email in? You obviously aren't
spending a lot of time in character development or strategy or picking your
challenges, so what exactly are you doing? Lost in a pandemic-induced state of

99 Beers III Rule Change #852 -- If a TP can beat an opponent in 1 minute, then 2
bottles are given. If anyone can beat a TP within 1 minute, then 2 bottles are given.
Why? Because being beaten by a TP in 1 minute is funny and beating a TP in 1 minute
is impressive. For example, I was beaten by Parno in one minute and Chartreuse was
beaten by Plank, Skunk Ape, and Dark Inebriator in one minute. On the flip side, Biff
beat Loaded Larper, Bozo the Clown beat Hoeb, and Lorelei beat The Last Beer, all in
one minute -- crazy stuff! Now I'm just hoping to see a TP beat another TP in 1
minute so 4 bottles can be handed out! Anyway, this rule change is immediate,
unilateral, retroactive, universal, and irrevocable. -- Do It Tomorrow

Pappy -- Thanks for the advice on letter writing. I haven't written a letter in
decades and my family are all dead or in the case of my parents so far gone with
dementia they can't read or remember what they ate. I suppose because I raised such a
stink that they took the requirements away for getting beer bottles away. Not my goal,
just trying to point out that I never missed a turn prior to the tourny writing ads so
it didn't make much sense that I would arbitrarily not write an ad in the middle of a
tournament where scoring points is literally as easy as writing something. Yet, the
lot of you made it seem like I was butthurt and crying about it. Thus, my response
which was I would no longer complain about the points or the rules since I wasn't
going to win anyways. I have decided that I am going to start a new team so I sent all
but one to the dark arena. I will be playing to win from now on out as I have gotten
into the bad habit of just letting things go on maintenance. Take it easy and hope you

"sugar mama" in my case. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's legal here
