SPY REPORT
Another day, another bottle, and another cycle in Seam! Welcome back to our dear
arena, which is currently the most active no-tourney arena in the land. A contest
certainly helps, but it isn't important how you get the distinction of most active,
simply that you get it! Huard, the spy reporter over in Shadowspire, was always so
smug when his arena was thriving! Well, it is my turn now, and I think I will enjoy
it for as long as I can! Okay, you did not enter Seam to listen to my pettiness, or
maybe you did? Regardless, we need to get on with the report.
Patron Silver took the coveted throne last turn from our former Duelmaster. Chugs
made a valiant effort today, but Patron Silver remains our top warrior. It will be
his last turn to sit upon our glorious throne since he has received an invite. His
opponent for the turn, Chugs, also go invited to the advanced games, so we will bid
them both farewell. PS gets a third opportunity to defend his title next cycle. How
will we get our new champ? Can anyone topple Patron Silver, or must the odds makers
come in and settle the issue with recognition points? However it happens, it is sure
to be an exciting time in our arena next turn! Congrats to Patron, who is managed by
Riff Raff.
It sounds like a match made in the heavens when you hear about the teams Thirsty Thugs
and 200 Proof. I thought it was great! It doesn't appear these teams have any
interest in fighting one another. Thirsty Thugs were the most avoided team with 200
Proof avoiding them the most. Perhaps the Thugs do not know how to hold their liquor.
Unlikely, so it might be they drink too much and 200 Proof was tired of replacing the
bottles. Whatever the reason, 200 Proof wasn't interested in seeing them! Our most
challenged warrior was Bully Bobcat, and it was Harmicist that tried to topple him
today. Unfortunately for Harmicist, Bully came to the arena ready to fight. Bully
Bobcat wins the match in a quick 1-minute fight.
Death comes for us all eventually, but he seemed busy calling 9 warriors to the grave
this cycle. The Dark Arena was busy with 7 deaths on their sands. A Polite Beggar
was slain during the regular fights. We also lost an arena adept in Hooded Lemming.
He left us with a final record of 12-8-0. It is always tragic to see a warrior die,
but even more so when the warrior has been with us for a while in Seam. Condolences
to Dameon Darkheart on the loss. Of course, now we wait and see how vindictive he
will try to be against Doctor Lion.
Okay, time for me to leave the arena, my sweets! They are fumigating the offices at
the arena, so I'm sitting in the gladiator pen trying to pen this spy report. I am
used to the company, but one never gets accustomed to the aroma! I need to close this
up quickly before I my senses rebel against me. Join us next time! We are sure to
have a new Duelmaster with Patron Silver leaving us. Doctor Lion seems to be a likely
candidate, but will this new arena death stop his efforts to take the throne? Come

I'd like to thank I'MURFRANKNBERRY for entertaining me this weekend. First off, I
remembered the phrase "I'm your huckleberry" said by Val Kilmer in the movie
Tombstone, so I had to watch that scene a few times on YouTube. Then I thought of
Frankenberry cereal, a staple of my youth since my dad wasn't really into the whole
"healthy breakfast" thing. Then I thought of Huckleberry maybe being a reference to
Huckle's Cats. Or maybe the reference to the movie Tombstone is a reference to Local
Girls who (you may or may not know) all come from Arizona and Tombstone is a town in
Arizona. And then I thought of I'MURFRANKNBERRY losing to Frickin' Genius and that
led me to the movie Real Genius and that led me once again to Val Kilmer and that made
me think of Top Gun: Maverick and the tear-jerking scene with Mr. Kilmer and how I'm
pretty much a non-military version of Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, teaching the young
kids a thing or two about life. Man, that name works on so many levels!
