Notes from the arena champ.
Okay now, everyone, before a riot breaks out understand that when you read the
headline "THE LAST BEER IS LEAVING FOR ADM 100," that was referring to my imminent
invite and graduation to the Advanced games at the Isle of the Eye; it was NOT in any
way a discussion of the city's beer supply!! So no worries boys and girls; you'll be
able to wet your gullet with the unique taste of Olde Frothingslosh Stale Ale for the
foreseeable future.
It seems that SEAM is developing a tradition of sorts that when the reigning
Duelmaster gets invited to the Advanced games, they will then divulge their vital
information for all to see. I am certainly not one to rock the boat, so I gladly
continue on with this practice.
Well...here ya go:

So there you have it! I did not make any "rolls," but I have never even picked up a
weapon other than my trusty SC, and it is a rare treat indeed for an aimed blow to
favor learning defense! alfredo has said that I might be of use to him at the Isle
"some day," but I'm not holding my breath.
Well...it's off to the Dark Arena I go for my celebratory last fight (and last beer
haha). Wish me luck!

SPY REPORT
It has been a scorcher here in Seam! I typically have a spell that I cast to keep
cool, but the boss has nixed that idea for now. I might have gotten a little
overzealous the last time I used it and the gears on our Yellow Press golems froze up
for a week. It might be worth the scolding as the temperatures continue to rise. Oh
well, I am confident the gladiators faced much worse conditions on the sands, so who
am I to complain? Let's look at what these extraordinary and athletic ladies and
gentlemen accomplished for your entertainment!
We knew we were getting a new Duelmaster this turn since The Last Beer, the last
turn's champion, was invited to the Isle. TLB decided to challenge the Dark Arena for
his final fight. How did that turn out? Pretty good for The Last Beer! Eh, not so
great for Black Orc, who was butchered by our departing Duelmaster! The actual title
fight came down to a bloodfeud match as Trashy Mistress aimed high to avenge her
fallen teammate. She challenged up 89 points to face Deorn of Hero's Inc. Against
the odds, Trashy Mistress was able to last 3 minutes versus the Challenger Champions
classed warrior. In the end, it was not enough to win and Deorn becomes our newest
Duelmaster.
Way of All Flesh earns the "most avoided" label this turn. They were mostly avoided
by Rubber vs Glue. The laughable 2-9 warrior with the uninspiring name Greg is our
most challenged warrior of the turn. He was challenged by the more colorfully named
Sooz'r Da Booz'r. Greg walks away with the win showing us you do not need the flash
of a good stage name to win a fight. It might help with branding later in your career
though, so someone set Greg up with a savvy agent!
The only non-Dark Arena death came when Sam Lay killed Steven. Okay, someone get that
agent over to the Akakia guild house before the next cycle! The Dark Arena was busy,
and as I have already related, The Last Beer was victorious over Black Orc. Pandemic
Boredom sent Scrolling Reddit to fight by torchlight with nearly 30 fights under his
belt. Wow, you think when you reach a certain level of experience you are immune to
such things! Take note warriors!
The time has come once again, my darlings, for me to depart. I hope to see you back
next cycle. Deorn gets an opportunity to defend the Duelmaster's title.
Pharmanomicon has two warriors in the Challenger Champions, but the group is still
diverse enough to pose quite a challenge for Deorn. The contest continues, so I hope
to see each of you return in two weeks!
