Notes from the arena champ.
Well things went according to plan and I got my invite. I have no teammates even
remotely close to being able to take the throne so it's off to fight by torchlight for
me.
For any that are interested here are my stats:
11-11(1)-14-17-18(1)-4-11 Masters in Init and Attack, Adv Expert Def.
Long Spear Moderate High with riposte learn.

SPY REPORT
In a bit of tactical planning, What's Streaming decided to use a blood feud to his
advantage and challenge Faz Ebonsteel. I know that many bemoan such tactics, but what
good is vengeance if you do not exercise it? To no surprise, except maybe Faz's,
What's Streaming wins and becomes our newest Duelmaster. He gets the opportunity to
defend his title next turn, so I look forward to see what he will do. What's
Streaming still has two more turns to make Faz pay for killing a member of Pandemic
Boredom's crew.
Former Duelmaster and new Lord Protector Sam Lay left us after today. He ended his run
in Seam with a win in the Dark Arena against Wurm Kin. I know the arenamaster hates
picking up his own guys off the sands, but it is the nature of the games! I'm sure
Wurm Kin will be right back at work after a few days of rest. I hear resurrection by
the healers is hard on the body, but it is better than the alternative.
The most avoided team looks to be Thirsty Thugs. DMobster's crew was mostly avoided
by Rubber vs Glue. Rubber vs Glue is sitting nicely at the top of the arena rankings,
so whatever tactics they are using seems to be paying off. The warrior that got
everyone's attention this week, but not in a good way, is Chain Gangster. Ora
Alexander from No Tournament Blues went after Chain Gangster in what appeared to be a
fairly even match-up. Chain Gangster took 3-minutes, but emerged victorious. Since
we are on the topic of No Tournament Blues, I have to note they lost a fighter today.
Joe Lewis Walker has fought his last fight in Seam. Boogerhead (what an interesting
name) killed JLW. It is Boogerhead's 2nd kill, so he is not a stranger to killing or
the potential for a feud in the future from aggrieved friends of the deceased.
I think it necessary to mention the other death as well. William Buckwell IV's life
came to a tragic end. I do not believe anyone in the arena was surprised, but each
viewed it more as an inevitability. WB IV was 1-12 coming into today's fights. Losing
so much, it is not difficult to deduce an eventual end. I always wonder if managers
are relieved or disheartened when they lose such a warrior? You managers are so odd
at times that it is difficult to know for sure. Oh well, I plan on watching Akakia
and seeing if we will be treated to a William Buckwell V.
Time for me to move on, my darlings. It has been a bit of an odd day at the arena.
The masses were teeming as usual, but with such a bitter cold, people were not as
chatty and cordial today. Ah well, the beauty of the seasons - they change! It will
not be long before we will hear the songbirds and see a splash of color. Until then,
I recommend going to one of Seam's many hot springs. They will certainly take away
the chill and offer a bit of relaxation as you wait two weeks for our next round of
fights. See you then!
