SPY REPORT
Have the post-tourney blues overtaken the no-tourney arenas? We were down to 8 active
teams today. A few of the familiar faces are still missing. It did not stop the
excitement on the sands; the excitement merely had less participation! So, let's skip
the small talk and get to the point this afternoon. Okay, we won't skip it, but let's
make it quick. The weather is odd, the pollen is horrible, but my outfit is
magnificent, as are my newly manicured nails. Life is good for this not-so-old spy
reporting witch.
Coming into the turn, Feral Diva was riding high on two consecutive turns as
Duelmaster. The last turn's match was random, but we saw some movement and initiative
from the Challenger Champions, as Emma Stone made a play for the crown. Feral Diva
could not stand up to the challenge from Emma Stone, so we have ourselves a new
Duelmaster. Congrats to Ms. Stone! There is no graduation notice in my notes, so Emma
must defend that title in a few weeks.
Do the blues and pickles mix? They did not this week in Seam. No Tournament Blues is
the most avoided team, mostly by the new team, Bad Pickles. No clue what goes into
such decisions. I like to watch it from afar! We did not have a most challenged
warrior this time. The few challenges that were issued were spread out among the
masses. Maybe you can show the Duelmaster some love and make her the most challenged?
There are no deaths, which is fine with me. I feel like a few of you will be
disappointed with this news. We are an Andorian arena, but I am not sure that holds
the same life-affirming value it did in decades past. Congrats to Enfeeblement Ray,
who is our Chartered Recognition Leader, edging out of Duelmaster by 3 recognition
points. Wouldn't that be a fine match-up to watch? Okay, okay, I'll stop pressing
the issue of challenges and striving for the throne. I mean, it is only the WHOLE
POINT of being active in the arena.
Rubber vs Glue and Akakia are still absent. I hope that we have not seen the last of
those two teams. We bid a final farewell to Dakia Wildrose. She had her departing
fight and is off to the Isle. Like all our graduates, we wish her well in that
strange, new place. Is immortality all that it is advertised to be? The choice between
living and dying seems clear-cut to me at the moment. Okay, my darlings, enough talk
about these mortal coils and the philosophical conundrums we often find ourselves in!
Come back to see me in 2 weeks, and we will have a grand ol' time once again!
