SPY REPORT
Glorious, glorious day! It is arena day in Seam, and it is great to see you! We had a
full schedule of fights today with 23 bouts on the sands. We even had a few by
torchlight as managers shared their disapproval with Dark Arena fights for failing
gladiators. Let's not waste anymore time and take a look at all the action for today.
Sally Cat entered as our Duelmistress for today's games. It was a great time for her
to test her mettle against our rugged group of Challenger Champions. Who got the call
to face our stalwart champion on the sands? Emma Stone's name was called from the list
of potential warriors. Emma is not a stranger to the center stage, as she has
previously held the title. How would this one end? It ended with Sally keeping her
title as Duelmistress! There was no invite for Sally Cat, so she gets the privilege of
trying to hold onto her glory in two weeks.
It was a hard day for arena employees. First, long before the regular crowds arrived
at Seam's arena, the torches were lit and the Dark Arena crew entered. The first fight
went according to plan as Swine Golem dispatched Threads in a 3-minute fight. The
shock of the day came when It, of Bad Pickles, killed Dark Champion. A rumor said DC
was out late at the pubs and came straight to the arena. I hope next cycle he takes
his preparation time more seriously. He appeared thankful for the arena healers and
the Graywand's gift of immortality. Then, during the day's fights, Lexee Lioneye slew
a Shifty-Eyed Volunteer. Granted, he was shifty-eyed, but that doesn't mean he didn't
have a family. This happened early in the day, but it was the only death outside of
the Dark Arena.
Local Girls is our most avoided team. It looks as if Rubber vs Glue tried avoiding
them the most. The strategy appears to have worked with only a random matchup pitting
the teams against one another. Rubber vs Glue might have been onto something as their
warrior, I Know You Are, was beaten by Stevie Nicks in a 2-minute fight. Kye Smallfoot
was the most challenged warrior. Mary Jo West challenged Kye and was victorious.
Time for me to move into the crowds and frequent a few taverns, my dears. I like to
hear all of the arena gossip on this day. It helps me keep an eye out for newsworthy
tales. Sally Cat hopes to hold onto the throne, and she might possibly get an
invitation from the Isle in two weeks. We have a few others in the Challenger
Champions who are also chasing immortality, and they would love nothing more than to
show off for the Commission by taking over as Duelmaster. There are a lot of
Challenger Champions, who is going to get their shot at greatness? Come back next turn

I liked Dune 2 but, like Darque, not as much as the first one. I still haven't seen
Furiosa yet, I got roped into seeing Fall Guy which was pretty bad. Like, strangely
bad. My latest obsession is The 8 Show on Netflix -- those Koreans are pumping out
some crazy good stuff like Squid Game and Parasite. Overall I liked Squid Game more
than The 8 Show since there are more than a few scenes in 8 Show that are pretty rough
and one later episode that I fast forwarded a lot because I'm a gentle and loving soul
but overall the show was great and had some great socio-economic elements. -- Pappy
