SPY REPORT
Hello, my loves! It is a hot one out there today. How hot is it? It is so hot I saw a
Total Parry going into the arena with no armor and dual-wielding fans instead of
shields. Okay, I'll leave the jokes to the other spy reporters. We are here to see
what happened on these extremely hot sands in our fair arena of Seam. I recommend
finding a shady seat, getting a cool drink, and doing as little as possible while I go
through today's news.
We knew last turn that we were getting a new Duelmaster. Vacating the throne, we have
Sally Cat, who leaves as a 3-time Duelmaster. She got the coveted invitation to the
Isle and immortality. Congratulations to her, but we have an arena that needs to keep
churning out fights and accolades! For her farewell party, Sally Cat defeated Ora
Alexander. Wait, let me correct myself . . . Sally Cat KILLED Ora Alexander, so Ora
was in no shape to take the throne! That leads us down another avenue to find a
champion. At the end of the day, Stevie Nicks had the most recognition and was crowned
our new Duelmaster. Congrats to Stevie on the throne and Sally on immortality, and we
offer condolences to No Tournament Blues for the loss of Ora.
Pandemic Boredom is the most avoided team, which is pretty amazing considering they
had dropped from the team listing due to inactivity. I guess we could ask Darque
Knights for an explanation since they appear to have avoided them the most. Who was
the most challenged this week? I always have a few people in mind for the "most
challenging" each week, but that isn't exactly the question, is it? Demolition Dog is
our most challenged warrior this week. From 26 points our most challenged warrior,
Lola Doomfist issued a request to face Demolition Dog. It appears to have been a good,
tactical decision since she won and ended up with 90 recognition points. Lexee
Lioneye was sent to the Dark Arena, and she joins Ora Alexander as the only deaths
this turn.
We have 18 total fights, 5 challenges, and 2 deaths today. It was a productive day,
even if it was short. I am guessing the heat kept many at home today. There was also a
tournament a few days prior, and some managers may be traveling to and fro! I also
want to congratulate our newest Lord Protectors Emma Stone and Hoeb. Emma leaves as
our top-ranked Striker, while Hoeb has been in the arena for a VERY long time. Enjoy
your send-off next cycle! Come back and see if Stevie Nicks can hold onto the throne.
If she took a few tips from Sally Cat, she would do well! Okay, my dears, I will see
you in two weeks!

I'd like to apologize to everyone for missing last turn -- the days just blend into
one another when you're quiet vacationing. I also forgot to do my customary personal
ad which is the true crime. Anyway, I took my kids to go see Despicable Me 4 and the
entire mall lost electricity about 10 minutes into the movie. I was left wondering
what would happen to Gru and so was too preoccupied to loot the mall. We had gone to
one of those theaters that has seats that recline but without electricity I couldn't
get the seat to go back to an upright position and so was stuck until my kids and wife
pulled me out of it several hours later -- picture me as the captain of the ship from
Wall-E. Beyond that, we adopted an idiot dog and got sunburned on the 4th of July so
it's pretty gosh darn pure Americana around here. I was troubled that my little kids
didn't want to see the fireworks since that's mandatory according to Project 2025 but
we dragged them outside and we did the customary "ooh" and "ahh" so we're good to go
if the hammer comes down. -- Pappy
