Oh, my dearies, gather close and lend me those lovely ears, for your favorite witch
has been brewing a fresh pot of arena gossip, and it is piping hot! Seam may be
getting smaller, my sweets, but my word, the action is still fierce enough to singe
your eyebrows off. And this turn's title fight? Oh, it was a gem worth polishing!
Our hearty champion, Hodja of Thirsty Thugs, strode onto the sands and gave his
opponent, Boogerhead of Rubber vs Glue, a bout to remember. It wasn't a one-sided
affair like a few other fights this cycle. Boogerhead has a sting when he strikes, but
Hodja showed he had what it takes to keep his throne. He'll be strutting to the
advanced games after next turn, so if you have a challenge for him, you better hurry!
Now, behind the scenes of our little arena, Thirsty Thugs found themselves the most
avoided team. Rubber vs Glue had better things to do than face the Thugs. I'm not
saying the RvG crew was scared, but I could swear I saw one of them duck behind a
fruit stand on fight day when Thirsty Thugs entered the arena. The belle of the ball,
for challenges, is none other than But What Am I, who drew more dance card invites
than any other gladiator. I suppose that is what happens when you have such a shiny
record as But What Am I.
Now onto farewells, my big beautiful Hilda Hippo has left us for the Isle. Oh,
sweetie, we will miss your stomps, your snorts, and your utter refusal to move at
anything less than your own snail's pace. Good luck! Show the big leagues what a true
warrior from Seam can do!
The truth is, my darlings, our dear Seam is getting a little . . . cozy. Too cozy! If
you've got friends, enemies, or that one cousin who swears they're "too busy" to
manage a team--drag them in! The sands are always warmer with more feet kicking them
up, and I, for one, want to keep the fights fiery for turns to come.

So, first of all, I'm stunned that Sidara didn't write a huge eulogy for our dearly
departed Oh Morrissey. Yeah, he sucked but he was fun - 13 strength but did awesome
damage! Anyway, that brings us to his replacement which brings us to ChatGPT. I've
been dipping my toes into what the kids call "The ChatGPT" and find it rather
entertaining. I had it pick stocks for me recently as I've been gambling all my IRA
and 401k savings in the mad attempt to have enough money to move someplace exotic like
Cambodia or Somalia. I've noticed that some of the stock advice is wrong, but wrong
in the way that is actually verifiable, like giving me wrong prices for stocks even
though the market is closed. Why would it do that? When I ask ChatGPT to update the
stock prices, it's like, "Oh, sure, no problem" but why would it give the wrong prices
to begin with? Anyway, I asked ChatGPT to create a replacement character ("My Duel 2
replacement roll up is 10 strength, 12 constitution, 11 size, 7 wit, 9 will, 15 speed,
and 6 deftness. What should I do?") and it said it added 14 points to the replacement
but actually only added 10 -- this is just sloppiness! I then argued with ChatGPT for
the next 3 hours, cried a little, laughed a little, and came to an understanding of
how we (ChatGPT and I) should run this guy. After he gets a few kills under his belt,
he's coming for Hilda Hippo! -- Pappy
