The lightning leapt down from the mottled grey clouds, framed in stone for a
timeless moment and illuminating the makeshift room that was supposed by some to be
an office. The bull hide map of Alastari slapped on the wall from the winds and the
dark haired man at the desk sighed as if at something very far away.
"Wrathchilde." he said, at a normal pitch as if speaking to someone inhabiting
the cluttered but obviously empty room with him, and within the minute the door opens
deliberately.
"Yes sir? Have you touched upon it yet? Are we going home?" Wrathchilde
looked hopeful, his Tleilaxu breeding having given him several strangely comforting
memories of his home.
"Not for a while it seems Wrath.... It took me 42 moons to open the last gate,
and there are so many new variables involved. Now and again it seems I can affect
nodal frequency variances that allow entrance to this realm but I have not been able
to contact your home node since...last time. I am truly sorry, but I will continue
my research." He leaned back in his chair thoughtfully for a moment then, standing
up and looking at Wrathchilde with a curious glint in his eye he smiled. "We will
fight here and learn more of these lands. I have heard of an isle where mighty magic
and powerful warriors reside and test their skills. We must fight our way up through
the ranks of warriors here, but there are many of you that hope to see home again and
I think that the woman of the isle is the one who can help." Rogan vaulted the desk
and in the flash of an eye was before Wrathchilde with an arm on his shoulder. "Are
you with me? Will you support this venture before the others?" Wrathchilde frowned
for a moment, seemingly deep in thought wrestling with something, then nodded.
"We will do what needs be done, Rogan, but who is this woman and how do you know
she will help us...or even if she can?"

Good day, Sunset! Not quite sure what's so good about it, though. I've got a
headache and the runs after last week's binge, sorry about the MIA. One minute I was
in the Broken Bone, quill in one hand and beer in the other, about to set down for
posterity all the goings on of the MOTS race, and the next I was waking up in the
alley behind Baba Yaga's buck naked and feeling a tad violated...live and learn, I
suppose. I'm here now at any rate....
Time to catch up, let's see what you've been up to! It appears that former
Doomcorps buddies Sylvester F. and Mordraith are out in front right now, both with a
3-2 record, while Mordy has two kills already, both Bloodbanes. Looks like Stik
tried to make up for some lost time and wound getting scratched, hopefully he'll be
back soon. It's a long race, people...the Mr. twins were both out on the sands this
cycle as well, Mojo picking up a challenge win and Twister getting scummed, it
appears. One other manager vs. manager duel had C. Canary in his latest incarnation
putting down the new guy, Rude Buddha, in two flat, nice work. Sensei Jan stays
alive but rather sedentary in the inits with another loss, while Papaiz,
Dreihdenflahg, JE and Youngblood sat out. C'mon guys, freeze is past, let's get

you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. The boys at YAKUZA left
the arena dejected, after being kicked out of the top spot by SWORD OPERA. Good
show! Perhaps it is AIR ATTACK members' intannibility that enabled them to move from
25th to 12th last week... (Less time in the sun...) Rumor has it an incurable
disease has swept the stable of THE HARLOTS OF HEL. Note their drop in the rankings
from 8th to 20th. Watch out!!! BLACKEST PRIDE posted a nice gain, to come in 3rd.
Everybody loves a winner... BLACKEST PRIDE had cause to celebrate, after ASYLUM got
22 points by beating SKA-BOOM. A certain someone should cut down on the drinking and
practice more, after losing 15 points to PERSIANA JONES. (Discrete enough, ACE?) You
could cut the tension with a scimitar as VIVAMORT of SONS OF SATAN met the
Duelmaster. STINKALOGICAL successfully staved off a grab for the roses by VIVAMORT
of SONS OF SATAN. Does SUNSET have no one talented enough to dethrone it? So who's
the team that's been walking into taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a
PR stunt to me.
So much to report, so little time! Perhaps the warriors of MEOW MIX should take
up some hobbies, as they are the most avoided team... As a woman of good breeding
scorns the "warriors" of GRIM FANDANGO, so did that sorry team shy from MEOW MIX Is
it charming personality? Conversational abilities? Good oral hygiene? Whatever it
is, ORIGINAL STINK is the most challenged warrior. As a confidence booster,
VEG-O-MATIC challenged SANTO STINKO, down 20 points. Do you also slay vicious
rodents in your spare time, VEG-O-MATIC? Yes, Virginia, sometimes the little guy
wins, as SANTO STINKO proved, beating 20 point higher VEG-O-MATIC. Call 'im brash!
Call 'im brassy! Call 'im brave! Call 'im sassy! LIBERATOR will face PINEAPPLE
HEAD, up by 29. Aaaah, just call 'im dead meat. Not to smear a reputation, but
IRONIC TAILS must be a little surprised, as PINEAPPLE HEAD blew it when facing
LIBERATOR, 29 points below him.
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... Admittedly Death
waits for no one, but me thinks BONSAI of YAKUZA (4-1-0) is being sent off a little
prematurely. He who lives by the sword (or maul)... Witness PINEAPPLE HEAD of
IRONIC TAILS, felled by LIBERATOR of AIR ATTACK. Ask not for whom the sword slashes;
it slashes for thee.
Do not think spyreporting in SUNSET is the highlight of my life. As if buffeted
by forces of nature beyond my control, I must take my leave of this place. Do not

An Announcement Concerning the Brotherhood of the Blade Alliance:
I have chosen to withdraw my membership from the Brotherhood of the Blade
alliance. The years I have spent in the alliance have been the best of my DM career.
I leave the alliance with many great friends and will always remain close to my
former brethren.
The Brotherhood of the Blade will not skip a beat without my membership. It
remains in very capable hands and its roster is among the strongest in the game.
With the return on some of its founding members to DM, I know the BOB will continue
to grow in strength and prestige in the years to come. -- The Sandman
