Notes from the arena champ.
Sunset,
Finally, I've ascended the throne! It took long enough, but.... First,
something that I've been watching from afar that has been annoying me; Kano Clan,
your constant whining and crying about the big mean Stik is getting old. If the
competition in Sunset is to much for you maybe you should petition the commission to
allow you to fight in DM#93. You are in Sunset, the Arena of Death, if you're
getting your ass kicked do something about other than squeal like a new born
Andorian.
As for who will be my opponent, hopefully I'll have the luxury of choosing, the
most deserving is obviously Gina Tailia and it is she who'll recieve my challenge.
Secondary challenge will go to one of Floyd's warriors. As long as the Canaries
don't have a shot, I'll be happy. The throne still reeks of feathers and birdseed
from the last fowl DM.
Say goodbye to Inertia and Maine Coon Cat who'll be traveling to Free Blades to
try and bring further honor to this great city. MCC will be trying to kill another
Canary on his final fight while Inertia will be schooling Sons Of Satan as to why
they shouldn't challenge Blackest Pride warriors.

Thankyouthankyou. It's great for me, The Unknown Spymaster to be back in
SUNSET. Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid! For
every winner there is a loser. Speaking of losers, lets take a look at FEVER PITCH,
who went down to 5th from 10th. Life is tough. Coming up with a solid 3-0-0 outing,
BLACKEST PRIDE has advanced 4 places in the rankings. Hey everybody, watch out for
PLAGUE OF FEATHERS, who flew up 20 points in the rankings after mashing DAMION like a
melon. Keep your eye on this gal. And falling like a basher in the top ten was RUDE
BUDDHA, who dropped 11 points after a disappointing (to say the least) bout with THE
HIPPY. Unlike most arenas, SKULL STROKER managed to get his challenge off against
the 11-5-0 GINA TAILIA. Going for the gusto and coming up with aught but bloody
knuckles was FEVER PITCH's GINA TAILIA, who was turned away from the Duelmastership
by SKULL STROKER. Can you believe they are paying me 10 gold to deliver this stuff?
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
And hey, kiddies, those of you who didn't avoid GRIM FANDANGO, please raise you hand.
Wow. Does SUNSET really have that many liars? And you guys like to boo me? Well,
unsling your rasberries, cause COSMIC FREAK OUT beats feet every time GRIM FANDANGO
smiles at them. Try farming, eh? Well just about everybody wants a piece of RONALD
REAGAN, who was this week's most challenged warrior. Challenging down 52 points was
INERTIA. Pretty soon she'll be using two shields and selling 'T.P.: The only way to
clean up' pins. Definition of petty: INERTIA subdued MINOS, a mismatch of 52
points. TOAD LICKER of COSMIC FREAK OUT had better have a good reason for
challenging down 15 points in a challenge which he won. I thought TOAD LICKER showed
great skill and promise when he overcame LUGO BELOSKI. All right, so I slept through
it! Big deal!
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! SIMON COWELL defied all odds and
slew MR. TWISTER in the Dark Arena. The only ones displeased were the buzzards, as
MR. TWISTER's meat is notoriously tough. BULLY defied all odds and slew WURM KIN in
the Dark Arena. The only ones displeased were the buzzards, as WURM KIN's meat is
notoriously tough. The audience likes blood and there was plenty of it covering
DAMION as he was driven to an early grave by PLAGUE OF FEATHERS of the CARNAGE
CANARIES. Remember: alliances are great, but try and take your ally in the arena
with you and see what happens.
I think I had better cut this one short. It's been nice chatting to those of
you whom I have not offended yet. Okay, so I may not be the world's best comedian,
but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. And remember, you can pick your

Our next Winter Face-to-Face will be held on Martin Luther King weekend, Friday
through Sunday, 14-16 January 2005, at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, Arizona (4400 S
Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
