Notes from the arena champ.
Well well well well weeeeeeeelllll, look who's on top today!! That would be me,
Scythe, for those who still struggle with the obvious. I wasn't expecting a title
shot so soon, since I was sitting at the bottom of the Champs class, and truth be
told the Old Man didn't think I was ready. Shows you what he knows. Hah!! I
honestly thought Adductor would have put up more of a battle, but my boy Tusk gave me
some tips on how to get to him pre-duel, and I took full advantage and just rolled!
This next cycle may present a bit more of a challenge, though. I've got one of
D.R.I.'s grubby little killers staring at me, and the upstart ripper from Nick's
guildhouse also lookin' for some. I do believe I'll throw a challenge or two out to
the duck-billed one this cycle, as he's got the best chance to teach me some major
skillage, win or lose. Until next time, if there is one, I am....

Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out SUNSET to see
what's new. I don't wanna hurt anybody's feelings or anything, but MUSCLE MEN really
goofed with their 0-1-0. The guys at KANO CLAN like really pulled together to get a
2-1-0 this turn, moving up by 3. What was the name of that team who got 5-0-3 this
turn for a total 25-28-4 you ask? (Sure) EQUITES VIRTUS' their name, and fighting's
their game! This new team W.H.E.T.T. shows promise, and that's all I'm going to say
(for now). MVP award for STELLA ARTOIS? REAL BEER's proud of her after beating
DUCKBERT and getting 19 points. Talk about yer big time losers! AZRAEL got smashed
by BONEDUST, and lost 16 points! Don't you think the Duelmaster is being unfair? I
think SCYTHE should let ADDUCTOR MAGNUS be Duelmaster for a while, without fighting
about it. Who was the wiseguy that said SUNSET's Duelmaster was paying for drinks at
Baba Yaga's Bar and Grill? Don't look at me!
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. D.R.I. was
the most avoided team. Is a 38-17-5 record really that scary? Hhmph! What kind of
warriors are GRIM FANDANGO? D.R.I., an easy team to beat if I ever saw one, can't
get them to accept an invitation! Like, is MOMORO WA popular, or what? He was
challenged the most in all of SUNSET! He's got a 15-7-0, is that good? HOEGARDEN
must not be a good enough fighter to get in fair fights. It challenged MOMORO WA.
13 is a big difference. (Well, that's what they tell me.) I thought HOEGARDEN showed
great skill and promise when it was overcame by MOMORO WA. All right, so I slept
through it! Big deal!
Challenges, revenges, Bloodfeuds. All SUNSET ever talks about is fighting! Me,
I'm more laid back. I'm always kinda bummed when a decent warrior gets killed.
COUCH SLOUCH, of D.R.I. had a 9-2-3 when she got bumped off by CALPURNIA. I was SO
depressed when I heard KORUSH got killed. He was just a kid, and didn't get a fair
chance in SUNSET, or anything! I was so shocked when CALPURNIA killed COUCH SLOUCH I
just about swallows my gum! And do you think EQUITES VIRTUS really wants a Bloodfeud
from D.R.I.? SWORD OPERA let CROUCHING HAMSTER of D.R.I. kill DIVA NASHONA
unpunished. That's really low. (Even if DIVA NASHONA was kind of a jerk...)
SHERWOOD bloodfeuded (is that a word?) BLOODRED for revenge over some guy's bad
fortune. Was it really worth it? Like was that some Bloodfeud, or what? (CALPURNIA
vs. COUCH SLOUCH, that is.) GERMANIUS really fought hard against ROSSMONT. That'll
teach SWORD OPERA not to go and kill any of EQUITES VIRTUS' guys again, huh! Hey you
guys, don't you think your families would like to hear from you? Write! (Or have
someone write for you.)
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be

beat me with your crop of NBK's, there. Although Delarquan, I don't put too much
stock in kills, as you can see. I don't avoid them but I normally don't go looking
for them, either, since I'm more concerned these days with graduating some decent
long term guys. Killing places you at a decided strategic disadvantage when you're
looking at four turns of bloodfeuds, which you usually are in a 'Larq arena. I got
most of my bloodlust and chest-thumping out back in the eighties. But hey, this IS
the Arena of Death, so by all means swing for the fences--er, vitals! -- Stik

The Olympics have arrived!
The Mordanti Olympics, having been gone for six years, have returned to the Mordanti
Alliance, sponsored by Amicitia Primoris. Teams have competed against each other for
recognition and notoriety four times in the past. It is far past time for the fifth
Mordanti Olympics to be held. The Mordanti Olympics shall be held in the Mordant
arena (DM-1) from May 1st (T544) through Oct 30 (T557). There will be a
'registration period' lasting until T543, where teams will be allowed to register by
activating in Mordant and declaring their participation in the personals. Rules will
be posted in the Mordant arena (DM-1) newsletter no later than T543, but shall be
available online before then. An announcement will be made as to where they will be
posted. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
