Notes from the arena champ.
I'm telling you, it's like Deja Vu all over again!! Adductor walks out onto the
sands to meet me, and I'm like, 'didn't I just take care of you?!??' And he's all,
'there's no one else here!' And I'm all, WHAM--DING!!!!! Done!! THAT'S how we
dance the Grim Fandango, baby!! Heading out of the arena, counting my skills and my
money, a coupla gladiator groupy honies on my arm, strolling down to the Broken Bone
for some post-fight celebration. The winner, and STILL Duelmaster!! Yours truly.
Me. Scythe!!
Well, the challengers class sure changed in a hurry, no more killer slasher to worry
about, he got what he had comin', it appears. Maybe one of Crip's boys will actually
run two cycles in a row and I'll see what old Stella's made of. Hopefully more than
her teammate, Hoegarden, who I dispatched post haste a few turns ago. We shall see.

SPY REPORT
If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
SUNSET brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. Later days, D.R.I., since GRIM
FANDANGO took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. EQUITES VIRTUS
turned their 4-1-1 turn into a 2nd place rank in the listings this turn. Any better
than this, and you get put on hit lists. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to
see BUKOWSKI win a fight and gain 20 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, TUSK beat
REAGANOMICS and REAGANOMICS lost 6 points. You're breakin' my heart. And it's out
with the old, in with the new, as ASYLUM takes the Title and last week's bar tab from
the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh. Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else
do you think some of these guys win their fights? Skill? Ha!
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys.
SUNSET, I am losing what little hope I had in you. D.R.I. the most avoided team?
What insult will suffice, I cannot say. And who led the way in this mass act of
cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was EQUITES VIRTUS. Ha ha ha ha!
Ooh, I'm frightfully impressed, ADDUCTOR MAGNUS was this turn's most challenged
warrior. Watch that ego swell, sports fans. VIOLENT PACIFICATION was challenged by
one of GRIM FANDANGO's warriors this turn, with BONEDUST having a lead of 26 points
going into the fight. Question now is, will SUNSET accept this sort of tacky
behavior? BONEDUST beating VIOLENT PACIFICATION. The insult, the....yech! I guess
I can give a little credit to CROUCHING HAMSTER of D.R.I. for challenging up by 19 to
DJININSKI. CROUCHING HAMSTER lost to get 61 points of recognition. And we have
HORACE in a challenge, going down 9 points for the fight. Guess what? I thought
HORACE showed great skill and promise when he was killed by GHENGIS. All right, so I
slept through it! Big deal!
Death and Taxes. The less death I see, the more it taxes my patience. Let's
see if anyone's dead or dying. And what a stunning loss we have here, boys and
girls, HORACE of EQUITES VIRTUS has added the final loss to his 4-6-1. Tee hee!
Honor is like a chainmail shirt, it only shines through use. Certain nameless
cowards will doubtless rebuke me on this one.
There's got to be a better place in SUNSET to get a drink than Cagliostro's
Castle! Any suggestions? Well, I've had enough of this drivel, and I'm sure you
have too. Off like a dirty shirt of padded leather. Paste this one in your

A few notes about e-mailed personals:
You may submit personal ads, columns, spotlights, etc. electronically, either via e-
mail to ads at reality dot com (which doesn't need any more spam, thank you) or on
the web at http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Ads. When you submit
something, you should get back a receipt from HAL at RSI. If you do NOT get a
receipt, your ads may have gone astray (not all e-mail makes it to its destination
any more than all snail mail does). If you DO get a receipt, it should, in the body
of the message, tell you what arena your stuff was filed in. Check your receipt to
make sure your submission made it to the intended destination. Also check to see
that everything you sent made it to the same place. Sometimes HAL, who is rather
simple-minded in some ways, will send half your stuff to another arena if the name
or number of that arena shows up at the beginning of a line. So if the word Ti
appears at the beginning of a line halfway through your ads, all the ads after that
may end up in Ti, which is closed and doesn't need ads. As a side note, sometimes
things move slowly, so don't wait until the last minute to send your ads and all.
If they get held up along the way, they may not show up until next turn. Happy
