Notes from the arena champ.
Surprise, surprise, Bulgakov, Duelmaster of Sunset! Can a thing be overdue and
unexpected at the same time? If so, that's certainly the case here. My thanks to
Mushiko Bo and his sake induced hangover which prevented him from showing up for my
bloodfeud challenge. Without your help Mushiko Bo, without your cringing, your
cowering, your whining, your overall mealy-mouthed cowardice, I wouldn't have
achieved this lofty position. I'm sure this turn you'll be too busy nipping at your
bonsai tree to bother to appear, but no matter, God-speed to you and yours.
Kamikaze!! Kamikaze!!
My avoid goes out to Nerve Raker. 'Why so'?, you ask, I've beaten him 3 of 4.
Well, at this point the fight's at best a jump-ball on my part, and since I'm 5'1",
the odds are against me. My challenge goes out to Mushiko Bo. I don't know if I
mentioned this, but if he would've shown up last turn I wouldn't be Duelmaster right
now...ohh, I said that already...my memory's faulty sometimes, but I do know that if
Mushiko Bo had shown up last round I wouldn't be...wait a second, I'm feeling
redundant.

SPY REPORT
Well, what are you looking at, SUNSET? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Now keep the taverns open late tonight,
for there are sorrows to drown for LAKOTA, whose 0-0-0 this turn dropped them by 8
into 11th. Ha! LEGRAND'S CLONE BANK turned their 2-3-0 turn into a 5th place rank
in the listings this turn. Any better than this, and you get put on hit lists. Now
let's all watch CHAOS' heads swell from their 3-0-1 this turn. Haa ha ha ha! Big
shots, big talk, big deal. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see BEDLAM win
a fight and gain 17 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, BLACK TIGER beat CROUCHING HAMSTER
and CROUCHING HAMSTER lost 13 points. You're breakin' my heart. Going for broke or
broken, our Duelmaster MUSHIKU BO Bloodfeuded this turn. And if variety is the spice
of life, SUNSET may be getting bland, as BULGAKOV stays top dog in the city.
Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys
win their fights? Skill? Ha!
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys.
SUNSET, I am losing what little hope I had in you. KANO CLAN the most avoided team?
What insult will suffice, I cannot say. And who led the way in this mass act of
cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was NOMADIC TRIBE. Ha ha ha ha! Ooh,
I'm frightfully impressed, HAMMETT was this turn's most challenged warrior. Watch
that ego swell, sports fans. SHERWOOD was challenged by one of GRIM FANDANGO's
warriors this turn, with GRAVEYARD TAN having a lead of 22 points going into the
fight. And golly gee, GRAVEYARD TAN dealt death to SHERWOOD. Aren't we all
surprised and impressed? I guess I can give a little credit to CANNON FODDER of
LIGHT BRIGADE for challenging up by 18 to VULGE. CANNON FODDER won to get 51 points
of recognition. And we have ATAXIA in a challenge, going down 8 points for the
fight. Guess what? I thought ATAXIA showed great skill and promise when she won
victory over PETULANT PETRAL. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. Bye bye, warrior, bye bye... SHERWOOD, a
glorious 14-21-0 fighter, has passed away. Gee, too bad LITERATE LOONS. Let's see,
8-4-0. Pretty good record for a living warrior. A sad one though, for a dead one.
Such is the case for BLOODLUST of PHILTHBALLS. Tsk. A big yahoo goes out to
BULGAKOV this turn, for revenging LITERATE LOONS' bloodfeud against KANO CLAN's
warrior MUSHIKU BO. Heh, heh, heh. We're all going to die in the end, so why worry
if the fate catches up with you sooner that later?
There's got to be a better place in SUNSET to get a drink than Baba Yaga's Bar
and Grill! Any suggestions? Well, I've had enough of this drivel, and I'm sure you
