SPY REPORT
So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. Hey everybody, watch out for PILSON, who flew
up 22 points in the rankings after mashing LAGERKVIST like a melon. Keep your eye on
this guy. And falling like a basher in the top ten was LAGERKVIST, who dropped 17
points after a disappointing (to say the least) bout with PILSON. Drawing on all of
his experience as a 16-16-1 warrior, KEROUAC went for the Duelmastership against
ASSASSIN this week. It's a proud day for the LITERATE LOONS stable, as their
warrior, KEROUAC, ascended the Duelmaster's throne. Can you believe they are paying
me 10 gold to deliver this stuff?
Here is other news that is of note. Did you hear that NOMADIC TRIBE was most
avoided team this week? Well, knowing the personal hygiene of NOMADIC TRIBE's
warriors, I'm not surprised! And you guys like to boo me? Well, unsling your
rasberries, cause GRIM FANDANGO beats feet every time NOMADIC TRIBE smiles at them.
Try farming, eh? Well just about everybody wants a piece of FOORMAN, who was this
week's most challenged warrior. Can any one out there say 'weasel'? Oh well, just
saying MOLOTOV will do. He challenged 17 points down to trash MUTABA IRO. Here is a
definition of happiness: MUTABA IRO bested MOLOTOV to go from 10 to 25 recognition
points. In a touching display by a 'touched' warrior, STAY GOLD went after GAMMA,
who was higher by 20 points. Well, when the dust settled, STAY GOLD was bested by
GAMMA. SHROUD of GRIM FANDANGO had better have a good reason for challenging down 10
points in a challenge which he lost. I thought SHROUD showed great skill and promise
when he lost to SURLY DECKHAND. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). We might as well mark the passing of
MORDECAI, who was relatively new to the arena at 2-1-0. Probably killed before his
first shave. Congrats to KEROUAC for revenging the death of his teammate (but more
importantly, feeding ASSASSIN a bit of dirt). Remember: alliances are great, but
try and take your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
Well, there's the manager of the SUNSET giving me the 'cut' sign (or is that
'They're going to strangle you in the alley?). Okay, so I may not be the world's
best comedian, but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. Hasta la bye-bye.

Our next Winter FTF will be held in Tempe, Arizona, January 16-18, 2009. It will be
held at the Fiesta Resort in Tempe, AZ at 2100 South Priest Drive, Tempe, 85282
(480-967-1441). Rooms are only $139.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy. There is a free
24-hour shuttle from the airport, free parking, free high-speed wireless internet
in all guest rooms. There is a fitness center with cardiovascular and weight-lifting
equipment, a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, with poolside beverage delivery. They
have a bustling happy hour in the Kachina lounge, with complimentary hors d'oeuvres.
There are tons of restaurants nearby at the Mall, a Denny's across the street, and
several fast food options nearby as well, as well as a restaurant in the hotel with
room service.
If you arrive early or stay late, don't forget that there is excellent golfing in
the Phoenix area, with several championship courses nearby. Winter is an excellent
time to explore Arizona with a trip to the Grand Canyon or Sedona or any of our
other scenic sites across the state.
