Notes from the arena champ.
Hail, my fellow gladiators, Grandaddy Smurf, your Duelmaster, would like to
share his thoughts with you as he looks down the line of challengers:
Cather -- We fought our first fights against each other, I am sure we have both grown
considerably since then but I am undefeated against ABs and we shall see how we fare
now. My first challenge goes to you.
Battlecry -- We fougth once and you lost, I hope your riposte is better than it was
the last time but that was 14 fights ago. My second challenge goes your way.
Morbid Crusader -- When last we met, you were 6-1 and I was 6-2. I may have picked
up a few more loses than you in the last 12 fights but if you come my direction I can
assure you you will pick up loss number 6.
Famine -- Boy, what a fight that was. I have only lost once to a TP and that was
Wallace, you were my 3rd win agaisnt your style. I know I shouldn't be saying this
but I would hate to face you if you had a weapon or 2 in your hands; your defense is
very good and you have a very good offense. If Gentleben were your manager you would
try a short sword in each hand at least a few times.
Now down to the Champions, I won\'t cover all of you:
Blaksunn -- Twice you have beaten me and that last fight might have gone the other
way had you been running more traditionally, either way I must admit you have just
about the best defense I have faced by someone going offensive.
Wallace -- I do not wish to press my luck, so I hope I graduate before you reach
challenging range, but I only have 9 PPgoing into this turn so I will be here for a
couple of turns either way.
Leni Poole -- You may have jumped Virile Man, but I am not Virile Man. I mean I am
virile I am just not that... that guy. What are you laughing at? Have you tried
counting how many smurfs there are? And they are all mine!!!
Yuedebahl Litha --- No offense, but you and Bul Goblinhewer always have an open door
to a fight, I will not be avoiding either of you.
Ironsides -- Read Wallace and copy and paste here. <> :)
Jonisson and Mersilus -- Read Yuedibahal Litha and copy and paste here. <> hahaha
What a few turns we have had the past couple of months. Looking down at the
warriors below and those coming up, I forsee a great many more months of intense
enjoyment at the top. Buy your tickets now. for you never know who will be atop the
throne next. I don't see anyone here, me included, whom can beat all the rest.

SPY REPORT
Greetings, warriors of SUNSET! Once again I've been called out of retirement
for my abilities and insights into Spyreporting. Biff! Pow! SUNSET watched with
glee as FIZBANS FOLLIES got knocked off top spot by SERPENTS HOLD! Hmmmph! I always
thought NOMADIC TRIBE was an over-rated team and they proved it with a 0-5-0! Up 'n
down. Up 'n down. Rankings always change. Up 'n down. I think I'm gonna be...
Well, LITERATE LOONS' 5th moved them up to 3-2-2 place. Some people say I ramble too
much, I don't say anything relevant. I repeat myself. I ramble. Well OMINOUS REIGN
moved up 0, to 4th. What's with CATHER? She actually beat NOMADIC TRIBE's
BATTLECRY, and walked away with 25 more points from the fight. Major screwup at
NOMADIC TRIBE. BUL GOBLINHEWER lost 17 points to DISEASE. Some new strategies,
perhaps? Maybe BUL GOBLINHEWER will provide more easy wins... Another fighter
(FAMINE 13-8-0) challenged another Duelmaster (GRANDADDY SMURF 14-7-0). Life goes
on. FAMINE was reminded on the sands why GRANDADDY SMURF is Duelmaster. Advice to
fighters with a 1 will--give up fighting!
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports.
SUNSET thinks OMINOUS REIGN and their 45-47-3 is too much! If at first you don't
succeed, give up... Management must be dealin', as the boys at GRIM FANDANGO ain't
reelin'! OMINOUS REIGN's mad! What do people see in WALLACE? His 21-10-0? GRIM
FANDANGO ain't talkin', but he's got 91 points. Keep challenging up 28 points,
MILLHAUSER, and I won't have to write about you much longer. WALLACE always accepts
those kind of challenges... MILLHAUSER found one way to advance: challenging
WALLACE and losing, but getting 6 points. No brain, no pain. LENI POOLE of THE RED
BLADES knows how to pick 'em. She challenged SILVER SMURFER of BEN'S BAZAAR who is
up by 24. Now was this a wise move? LENI POOLE perhaps got hers just desserts,
seeing as she was subdued by SILVER SMURFER and ended up with 76 recognition points.
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? BATTLECRY of NOMADIC TRIBE didn't know when to quit. When
you've got a 14-14-0, that's a good sign. Now he's dead. KERBESTAM, with his
forgettable 5-7-0, was dealt death by BORGES in a forgettable match. SWORD OPERA
didn't seem to mind very much. REZUREKT was plum wore out after ANGEL pounded 'im
silly in a Bloodfeud. GRIM FANDANGO'll have to get a little better before going
after ANGEL again! Is GREDAN getting weak? What sort of warriors let a comrade fall
without getting revenge? Times have changed... Here's some advice: study your
opponent, master many skills, fight dirty.
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here?
SUNSET is a nice place to live, but I don't like to live in nice places. Time for my
