20th win. Seems my time for a shot has come and it didn't turn out like I had
imagined but all the same I'm here and it nice looking down if maybe only for a time.

I doubt SUNSET will ever be the same. It seems the training can make the difference,
as RAGING LORDS is pushed out of top team by KANO CLAN, who came from 4th with a
5-0-0 this turn. Now keep the taverns open late tonight, for there are sorrows to
drown for BLOOD AND SAND, whose 0-5-0 this turn dropped them by 7 into 14th. OMINOUS
REIGN stable has parlayed this turn's 5-0-0 into a 8 space move up the rankings.
This brings them up to 3rd place. Good work, guys! The DARK AT HEART guild has had
a 4-1-1 turn and deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this
kind of thing can lead. And let's see, NINJA BARBIE fought HOPE SPRINGS and gained
29 points and contributed to BEN'S BAZAAR's 1-4-0. HOPE SPRINGS has lost to NINJA
BARBIE, falling 39 points, while helping make THE RED BLADES a 3-2-0 turn. Well
done, SUNSET, the Duelmaster was this turn's most challenged warrior. Perhaps TIME
is not as thrilled, being challenged 8 times. This week's Duelmaster bout was
between SPARTACUS and our Duelmaster TIME, making a challenge. The attempts to
dethrone the Duelmaster have failed, and TIME remains SUNSET's top warrior for
another turn. Can someone confirm a rumor for me? I hear the top team makes their
losing fighters do dishes at Baba Yaga's Bar and Grill until they win. Maybe?
The crowd's roar, the smell of iron and leather, mixed with sweat, what more
could a warrior ask of life? Well, besides that. I also notice that the NOMADIC
TRIBE stable was the most avoided team this turn. Come on SUNSET, what are you
afraid of? And guess who avoided NOMADIC TRIBE stable the most? Believe it or not,
it was BEN'S BAZAAR. Anyone surprised? I don't know about you, but TROWSUL THUNDER
challenging down 21 points to BEN'S BAZAAR's BARBARIC SMURF, is not really worthy of
RAGING LORDS. It pains me to see warriors take advantage of the system like this.
TROWSUL THUNDER put to death BARBARIC SMURF, as if it surprises anyone. In a brave
attempt, THE FOILER from BEN'S BAZAAR challenged up 23 points to fight ONE ARMED
BOXER from the OMINOUS REIGN stable. THE FOILER perhaps got hers just desserts,
seeing as she was beat by ONE ARMED BOXER and ended up with 26 recognition points.
SUGAR MAGNOLIA of COSMIC FREAK OUT had better have a good reason for challenging down
14 points in a challenge which it lost. I thought SUGAR MAGNOLIA showed great skill
and promise when it was bested by RUIN. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. DESPAIR must have surprised DARK AT HEART this turn, after they sent her to
the Dark Arena, but the Dark Arena couldn't hold her! BARBARIC SMURF has departed
SUNSET, leaving BEN'S BAZAAR without their 8-7-1 warrior. Question, just what was
his team doing at the taverns last night? We'd like to remind certain teams not to
rob the graves of their enemies. You know who you are; and it's considered rude.
I like this place, SUNSET, the taverns have old wine, and young serving girls.

10 turns. I love this arena! By every indication the level of competition in Sunset
is outstanding. Only Slashers and Strikers were barely able to come out on the
winning side (sort of odd). I suppose the reason that Lungers didn't do any better
than 8-8 is because there were so stinking many of them.
That pitiful little one who calls himself Nomad continues to maintain his arrogant
and self-righteous stance in the face of significant losses. Despite the fact that
he has been handed numerous losses in light of his best efforts should lead any
casual observer to believe in his insignificance. This is the problem with those
like him suffering from such a high degree of mental insufficiency. Anyone under the
illusion of grandeur through Duel play is a truly disturbed individual. The chest
pounding mentality just shows the intelligence of a gorilla. Not smart. Just
disgusting.
The problem about the concept of wearing armor or not is the amount of misleading
propoganda from long ago concerning how armor slows down a fighter and interferes
with his overall performance in the arena. TOTAL HOGWASH!! I don't buy it for a
minute! The whole thing was then and still is just a ploy perpetrated by a few
opportunists to get you to run your warriors without armor so they could possibly win
a few more fights. You've been conned! The undeniable truth is armor protects and
saves lives. Period.
Nomad, Stik, and any of the rest of you like-minded mice -- I think you guys are
crazy! You're completely discounting the fact that I just don't care anything about
you or anything you have to say. I thought perhaps I had made that crystal clear by
now. And vice-versa, go ahead and dismiss everything I'm writing. At least I can
demonstrate the capability to discuss matters of substance as opposed to your shrill
jabbering and indignant condescension. It's pathetic!
When it comes to the arena you use for your experimentation, the significant thing to
keep in mind is that one can act without concern for wins or losses. If you've got
nothing to lose, does it not make you more dangerous and unpredictable?

Strikers, a terrible style to be sure. They never win do they? Uh huh. Strikers
generally clean up in basic arena play and in the lower tourneys. They're abundant
in every arena because most managers know this. I seriously doubt a single manager
in this arena designed his latest striker to counteract some perceived style
imbalance or other deranged conspiracy theory of yours. Managers almost always
design for a given rollup's strengths, period. I have been pretty anti-striker
myself for some time, but like you said, sometimes there's just no other way to go.
Let it be, man.
You can hate Nomad all you want, silly as that is, but you can't seriously make the
case his record is blind luck. NO manager's long-term record is blind luck. That
includes yours. To insinuate such is to make yourself look like a naive newbie.

records in other arenas where you put all this ground-breaking data into action, huh?
Yeah. There's not a thing wrong with running those styles and winning with them, but
don't try to put on airs like you're up to something else entirely. We all know
you're not.

ignorant claptrap? You can't help stepping on your own statements in one rant, even.
You say you want us all to cover our eyes and ears to you, yet you beg for responses.
Which is it, dude? You say nobody should think they know anything more than anyone
else, yet you seem free to dispense your "advice" about certain styles, armor, and
weapons whenever you feel the need to puke some of it up in the PAs. How
hypocritical can you get??
And finally...your 'tenacious' participation?? Seriously? You've been around a long
time, as your team number indicates, but you have NEVER played consistently. You
disappear for months at a time, come back, run two guys one turn, 4 then next, skip a
turn or two, duck bloodfeuds, who knows when or who you're gonna play?
Me? Since starting this team here, I can count the number of turns I've missed on
one hand, and the number of turns I've not run a full squad is likely under 20.
That's tenacious participation. Again, play however much and whenever you want, I'd
rather have you here than not, but don't claim to be the rock of the arena when
you've been anything but. Set aside all the B.S. and just play your game, and try to
keep a semi-sane attitude about things, the rest of the arena would appreciate it.
