Notes from the arena champ.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please rise for entrance of thy Duelmaster! <applause,
applause, applause, wave, wave, wave, applause, applause> You may now take your
seats.
Greetings, Sunset, I have retained the honors of the duelmaster. You ladies can
thank me again later <a wink to the ladies>. Blakskul, sorry I had to bruise up your
whole right side there, but you just wouldn't go down like a good little boy, my
suggestion for you for the next week or so is to sleep on your left side.
What an intersting turn of events this last turn. Dred, you ended up on top but
you had to go and kill someone. Normally I would challenge the top contender but
there is no guarantee that I would get that fight which would leave me hanging out to
dry for anyone to swoop in with a tailored strat to snatch the throne from beneath my
barely covered tooshie. Soooo, I am not issuing you a challenge, sorry. Grass Seed,
ummmm, you're not exactly a good challenge style wise, so you will not be seeing an
invitation from either. That brings me down to Batwamba. Your FE is a lot lower
than mine, so I am pushing you to my back up challenge, I do not want to take
advantage of your inexperience, but you are up here sooooo.... And that leads us to
Hope Springs. Well, girl, we have never met formerly and I have wanted to see who
was quicker so prepare thyself for a supreme being in tight white speedos to take a
dip in your hopeful, lucious wet spring waters <the grin on this smurf's face can
hardly be contained by his cheeks>, may the best striker win.
As for the rest of you, I didn't quite know what to say. I could talk about how
great I am but you already know this, especially the ladies. I could talk about how
smurfs are thought to be meek and therefore destined to inhearit the world but we are
not meek nor timid and we shall take this planet by the Power of Blue Skull, the
father of all smurfs. I could talk about how the ladies love a guy in speedos but
everyone with eyes can see ALL the girls, young and old, checking me out every time I
step foot in public. No need to make others feel less than me than they already do
so I will save you all from any further anguish by not pointing it out to your face
that I am far superior to you in every way imaginable. You're welcome for my
generosity in this area. I am nothing if not humble. So with all that said and
nothing actually being said I bid you a good week in fights and until I see you
againg...

Well, what are you looking at, SUNSET? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Later days, NOMADIC TRIBE, since
DEVIATION took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. If this keeps up,
GRIM FANDANGO, you'll have to shine swords instead of use them. A drop of 8 in the
rankings? THE RED BLADES turned their 4-1-0 turn into a 6th place rank in the
listings this turn. Any better than this, and you get put on hit lists. Gee, I'm
impressed, a 4-1-0 is nice, but don't get cocky, DEVIATION, the Fates teach humility,
and the Fates are proud. I can just hear all the boasts coming in LUDUS MAGNUS' next
personal ads. Their first turn they went 4-1-0. Of course, we're all terribly
impressed to see ZOLDIVAR win a fight and gain 25 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk,
ZOLDIVAR beat GRASS SEED and GRASS SEED lost 26 points. You're breakin' my heart.
HOPE SPRINGS challenged SUNSET's Duelmaster for a shot at the throne. And it's out
with the old, in with the new, as HOPE SPRINGS takes the Title and last week's bar
tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh. Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes,
how else do you think some of these guys win their fights? Skill? Ha!
He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward. SUNSET,
I am losing what little hope I had in you. KANO CLAN the most avoided team? What
insult will suffice, I cannot say. And who led the way in this mass act of
cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was NOMADIC TRIBE. Ha ha ha ha! Ooh,
I'm frightfully impressed, DRED was this turn's most challenged warrior. Watch that
ego swell, sports fans. MINAMI TORI was challenged by one of NOMADIC TRIBE's
warriors this turn, with BATWAMBA having a lead of 19 points going into the fight.
Question now is, will SUNSET accept this sort of tacky behavior? BATWAMBA beating
MINAMI TORI. The insult, the....yech! I suspect either a 21 will or a 21 ego on
this one, but DAGAN has challenged up by 26 in an attempt against TAO SIN. My sides
still hurt from laughing about TAO SIN losing and giving DAGAN 25 points of
recognition. Ha ha ha ha!! I guess I can give a little credit to STIXANNE STONE of
THE RED BLADES for challenging up by 21 to HARDY. STIXANNE STONE lost to get 11
points of recognition.
Some people like volunteer work in the hospitals. I volunteer for SUNSET's
morgue. More variety. Gee, DEVIATION, ain't it past due for sending ROW DAYO DRIVE
Dark Arena? What took ol' '13-19-0' so long? Hope? Ha ha aha ha! And what a
stunning loss we have here, boys and girls, THE FOILER of BEN'S BAZAAR has added the
final loss to hers 7-13-0. Tee hee! It's about time MUNDANE got beat for picking on
warriors like SONG LI. Bravo, SAUCY MONASTERY. See you at Wildlife Unlimited. Not
that I'll be buying the drinks, but I'll be glad to see WHIRLED PEACE and BEN &
JERRY'S at Wildlife Unlimited tonight celebrating their bloodfeud victory over DRED.
A big yahoo goes out to REDUVIUS this turn, for revenging CAJUN APOCALYPSE's
bloodfeud against OMINOUS REIGN's warrior FEATHER. Heh, heh, heh. We're all going
to die in the end, so why worry if the fate catches up with you sooner that later?
There's got to be a better place in SUNSET to get a drink than Wildlife
Unlimited! Any suggestions? Phlllt! Just had to do that before I leave the fine

Walli Weeble-- Not at all sure who is the bigger Skum, you or your fecal-ridden
manager. I gained 9 Points compared to your 3, learned a skill compared to none for
you, and came out in the top ten most popular list. You get nothing except smirch
from every other fighter and manager in Sunset. Yeah, real big of you to have

All -- We have now witnessed one of the most unprecedented displays of arrogant and
self-indulged behavior in the history of Duel with the down-challenge BF of Walli
Weeble against Xian Lin. I don't think I've ever seen anyone challenge down 48
Points and more than 6 times the amount of FE, Bloodfued or not. Is this really how
utterly desperate that filthy pile of bovine excrement is for a win, any win
possible? Let that be a lesson to all of you about how low Nomad will stoop. His
outrageous conceit apparently knows no bounds. There were two other warriors of his
in which he could have sent to win handily, but he sent the highest possible one on
his team to do his demonic bidding. How pathetic is that? How disgusting is that?
Such is not the actions of a sane individual. This is a very sick person, so
consumed with himself it should require clinical evaluation.
We were expecting a significant down-challenge, yes. We felt sure he could not
resist taking a dive for the freebie, and we were right on. But to have jumped down
to this level is inconceivable as well as inexcusable. I hope his pleasure has been
met because he isn't getting another chance. Now that all of us in Sunset know what
to expect from the Nomad-freak, anyone dispatching one of his will no doubt seriously
consider ducking the BF in order to deny him the free win if this is going to be his
response. I have been playing Duel for a very long time and have never seen anyone
drop to this level of indignant, condescending, and outright egomaniacal behavior.
One can only feel sorrow for a person of such obscene character.
Nomad, you only make _yourself_ look stupid. I don't have to do a thing or say
anything. You succeed gloriously in demonstrating an emotional involvement with your
actions in the arena. There was nothing smart or strategic about what you did and
everybody knows it was just a stone cold grab for a win. You have no honor or
integrity and now every manager in Sunset (perhaps with the exception of your pal,
Stik) has clearly seen what to expect from a gutter rat like you which belongs no
place else except in the gutter with the roaches and slime.
There were a total of 23 BF and Challenge fights in Turn 672. In 9 of those fights
the difference in Points was greater than 10, and in 7 of those 9 fights the warrior
with greater Points won. The other 2 fights were just borderline with 11 and 13
Points difference. Of all 23 fights, 12 of them were won by the warrior with more
Points, only 5 of which were down-challenges by 1 or 2 Points for the most part (one
BF was as must as 48 Points, which anyone can safely say was no BF at all). The
point is that you could probably run through the same exercise for any turn and come
out with nearly the same equivalents supporting the position that Points weigh
excessively in the determination of our fight results.
Question for you, anyone; Which do you think has the greater effect on the
calculation for determining our fight results, FE or Points?
Another question for you, anyone; If you're one of the crazies that doesn't believe
in giving your guys any armor, then why is it you don't hesitate to put APA/F on your
TP (or ACM on your BA, or ARM on your WS, etc.)? -- Kano
Kano fought the killer!! I'm shocked! I do not apologize for sending the far more
experienced Weeble. It was a bloodfeud so all is fair and I sent Walli because he
was the one who could most afford to "waste" a challenge that had almost no chance of
working. But it did work. And so Padoka is avenged. I am not sure who will get the
task, but since you chose to dance on the grave of the dead, the bloodfueds will
continue. Still, while I'm sure you don't care, I commend the choice to fight.
