Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings, Sunset!
Let me start out by saying that I love this arena and I think the competition
here is some of the best in the land. As it turns out, Batwamba just wasn't quite up
to the task last turn. Hang in there, though.
I challenged Pain Gwen this turn. I just couldn't resist the temptation of
putting a 1 in its loss column. Of course, I could be killed! Either way-- I want
to see what the prodigy can do. I'd put my money on me though if I were you. :)
Panama Red
SPY REPORT
Like the magnificent Sun, rising upon the Dawn and exiling the Night for a Day,
I, Novgorodny Vir, return once again! The boys at BLOOD AND SAND left the arena
dejected, after being kicked out of the top spot by NOMADIC TRIBE. Good show! Those
betting on OMINOUS REIGN lost their shirt, as OMINOUS REIGN lost their fighting
abilities: 1-3-0. What's a move up by 9 you ask? (alright, maybe you didn't ask)
Cause for celebration, according to COSMIC FREAK OUT. Good things come to those who
fight well, as TOOL SHED can attest, moving up by 0. Like a flirtacious debutante,
SUNSET's Duelmaster PANAMA RED found herself the woman of the hour, being "invited to
dance" 8 times! The arena was more crowded than usual this time, as ZOLDIVAR faced
SUNSET's Duelmaster. In SUNSET, nothing is permanent (except Death), and we find
ourselves a new Duelmaster, ZOLDIVAR. Word has it one team in SUNSET is taking
speech lessons to try to bore their opponent to death. I'll bet it works.
A Zenmaster once told me, 'Does not the spinning wheel turn? And do not the
little birds cry out?' Any ideas? Perhaps the warriors of GREDAN should take up
some hobbies, as they are the most avoided team... Like a pup with its tail between
its legs, GRIM FANDANGO scurried away from GREDAN. Oh, the shame! FEYTALONY found
herself challenged by a warrior 20 below: RHASKOS. RHASKOS of BLOOD AND SAND kept
his wits as he subdued FEYTALONY.
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... Will THE BLUES never
avenge THE HUNTER's death??? Oh brave(?) new world, that has such people in it!
'Tis new to me! Ask not a spymaster for counsel, for he will pontificate long after
you have fallen into an unconscious stupor.
All good things must come to an end. More important duties call me. SUNSET, I
leave you now. The Duelmaster has agreed to foot my bill at Wildlife Unlimited.

Saucy Jack -- Good thing we're not talking about tournaments (which are operated
outside the normal parameters of regular Duel) with regards to Points, but consider
perhaps it is Points that determines Initiates, Adepts, Champions, etc. Tournament
FE does not consider the effects of Points in arena fight competitions. And

WINTER FACE-TO-FACE IN SUNNY ARIZONA!
Our next winter FTF will be held in Tempe, Arizona, January 13-15, 2012. It will be
held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Tempe, Arizona (480-894-7444), the same hotel as
last year by popular request. Room rates are $134.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy, which
includes full cooked breakfast, complimentary manager's reception, free airport
shuttle, free parking and free high speed internet. There's a fitness center,
jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--please make your reservation by December 15
before the block is released! (This is prime season for Phoenix, and people have been
unable to book rooms because they waited too long.) Look for the tournament info
