Notes from the arena champ.
Well, this is a nice Christmas present for me, my very own Duelmaster's throne!
Can I hold it? That's up to you. This turn may be your last chance to take it from
me, I think I'll sit out next turn and enter the tourney. Not that I have a chance
to do anything, but mostly so that Buri has something to pick up in the Champions
division. -- Spoonful
SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster, back to give you this week's Spy Report. Sit
back in your seats and we'll have more fun than a barrel of Zontanis. For every
winner there is a loser. Speaking of losers, lets take a look at ALL JACKED UP II,
who went down to 5th from 10th. Life is tough. Coming up with a solid 4-1-0 outing,
NOMADIC TRIBE has advanced 4 places in the rankings. Advancing in the rankings was
GRIM FANDANGO who went from last turn's 747-650-31, to this week's record of
751-651-31. Hey everybody, watch out for BRACKUS, who flew up 20 points in the
rankings after mashing TEXAS FLOOD like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. Ya
know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on the sands. TEXAS FLOOD was subdued by
BRACKUS and drops 18 points. FLAP JACK got through to the Duelmaster this turn. No
doubt it was more than anxious to kick SPOONFUL's tail out of the throne! Our
battling duelmaster SPOONFUL has managed to hold the title, fending off FLAP JACK's
none too subtle advances. Better luck next time, ALL JACKED UP II. Advice to
bashers--never force anything, just get a bigger halberd!
Here is other news that is of note. And hey, kiddies, those of you who didn't
avoid NOMADIC TRIBE, please raise you hand. Wow. Does SUNSET really have that many
liars? For those of you who like math, try this one: NOMADIC TRIBE + Weapons That
go Boom = BEN'S BAZAAR + Avoid City. Well just about everybody wants a piece of JACK
AND COKE, who was this week's most challenged warrior. In a mismatch, our friend
LIL' JACK HORNER of ALL JACKED UP II got heroic notions and challenged DAGAN. What
did it get it? A 12-6-2 record, that's what. Some advice to LIL' JACK HORNER.
Please don't challenge up 32 points to fight a 24-13-0 fighter like, say DAGAN.
(Okay, so it may be a little late). Was it guts or an overtaxed mental capacity that
had FLUD challenge up 30 points in the rankings to take on SUPER CHICKEN? Trading
many whacks on the head and a loss for 1 recognition points, FLUD shows that a beast
doesn't have to be good to get places. GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE of TOON INN had better
have a good reason for challenging down 8 points in a challenge which he won. I
thought GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE showed great skill and promise when he subdued HARDY.
All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Remember: alliances are great,
but try and take your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
