Notes from the arena champ.
Feels great to sit in the DM's chair for the first time. I thank my predecessor for
keeping it warm for me. I'm probably going to need help doing 2 jobs at once--you
know, my regular day job and overseeing our great arena.

Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out SOLVEN to see
what's new. Like, THE DEMOCRATS had to be so embarrassed when they got kicked off #1
spot by KELLUMBO'S KIDS! Way to go KELLUMBO'S KIDS! Cut this out and put it in your
scrapbooks, KELLUMBO'S KIDS! 'Cause they got 4-1-0 and moved up to 1st! MVP award
for TOYS? OLD MCDONALD's proud of her after beating FANG and getting 27 points.
Talk about yer big time losers! TWO PLUS TWO got smashed by JUSTICE, and lost 10
points! SARGENT SUGAR thinks his 22-19-1 and studly character is good enough to face
up to the Duelmaster. Any bets? Was that a tear I saw in SARGENT SUGAR's eye, as he
took over Duelmastership? And wasn't SUE fit to be tied! Who was the wiseguy that
said SOLVEN's Duelmaster was paying for drinks at The Victory Tavern? Don't look at
me!
I gotta admit I haven't been in "deep con caves" with any spies. Really, I just
wing this stuff. KELLUMBO'S KIDS was SOLVEN's most avoided team. Is there some
award for that? Is there some deep dark secret why THE DEMOCRATS' been avoiding
KELLUMBO'S KIDS so much? Or is it just that they're too scared? Like, is BEAR
MARKET popular, or what? She was challenged the most in all of SOLVEN! She's got a
4-5-1, is that good?
Man, all these warriors dying and killing each other! Don't you guys ever give
it a break? I'm always kinda bummed when a decent warrior gets killed. FANG, of
SERPENTINE INC. had a 11-5-0 when he got bumped off by TOYS. PISHTUSH bloodfeuded
(is that a word?) MAXIMUS for revenge over some guy's bad fortune. Was it really
worth it? What if they had a fight and nobody showed up? I'd be out of a job,
that's what!!!
Remember, blood on a purple robe may stain. Soak it in cold water, and hand
wash. I'm getting tired of writing this stuff, so I'm calling it quits. Its been

A note to everyone regarding manager names and manager lists -- If you're running a
team incognito, all you have to do is let me know and I won't put your name on any
manager lists. It has seemed though, that more people want their names listed, even
if they do not announce themselves, than the other way around. Also, I do maintain

ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF STORMCROWE SLAUGHTERHOUSE
The last Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse was one of the closest and most exciting
contests ever held in Alastari. Such an epic demands a sequel. Therefore, Master
Darque and Jack Wolfspider are pleased to announce the return of the Stormcrowe
Slaughterhouse.
Where? Stormcrowe DM 45 (slow). When? The Slaughterhouse returns on Turn 207,
due August 19. How can you get into the action? Bring a team (one per entrant
please) to arena 45 and announce your intention to join the contest in the Personals.
Rules: This time around the rules are very simple. Each warrior win against a
higher rated opponent (one or more points higher in the ratings) brings you 10
points, against even rated opponent 7 points, lower rated 5 points. Wins against
NPCs or by a warrior who downchallenges are worth 0 points. Points are doubled for
kills. All warriors in the arena whether participating in the Slaughterhouse or not
are fair game. Points are totaled weekly, and the contestant whose team has racked
up the most points at the end of 10 turns is declared Slaughterhouse Champion.
Prizes: To be announced; we're still talking with RSI about it. Figure it will
be something pretty good. But hey, who needs prizes when the honor of being
Slaughterhouse Champion awaits!
