DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Only one turn left to howl at the moon.... It is I, Ilsa She-Wolf, Duelmaster
of the fair city of Solven. Hail great warriors of the best arena in all Alastari.
Looks like this is the last Duelmaster's column I get to write. As you may have
noticed, the Commission saw fit last turn to invite me to fight in the Advanced
games. And while it is a worthy invite, Kellumbo tells me that my future is lying on
the beach with Kangaroo Kate and Turkey Joe in retirement. I guess this makes it my
farewell fight this turn.
Terminator gets the nod again this turn. We'll see if he is chicken again this
turn like he was last turn. Don't worry there, Terminator, we've got a bead on you.
I expect a long losing streak in you future, coming very soon. But hey, you're not
the brightest to figure that out, are you?
In parting, I would just like to say thank you to all the managers and warriors
who make up this fine arena. Chaos Boys, Al Gore, Master Tazo, Leeta (you still run
The Zoo, don't you?), Mr. Freeze, Chinese Connection, and yes, even you Judge.
You're all top notch in my book. Well, except you Judge, but you're still up there
towards the top...well, errrr, somewhere in the middle...er...would you believe
you're in the book? Ah well, thanks for a great year, Solven. Farewell.

SPY REPORT
I was going on vacation, see? Surf, sun... But what do those bums say? "Hit
the road, Debby Tonte. SOLVEN needs a spyreport." Oh, well. Uncool, WHITE WOLF. I
mean 1-4-0 is bad. Will they will be allowed to fight? I say use 'em for training
practice! THE ZOO like really fought hard to move up to 6th from 12th. Way to go!
What was the name of that team who got 4-1-0 this turn for a total 151-119-10 you
ask? (Sure) CONSPIRACY INC.'s their name, and fighting's their game! I talked to
MEGA CHAOS' manager before the fights. He said, "We're gonna do good." And look at
this: 5-0-0! Psychic, or what! MVP award for SURE SHOT? MEGA CHAOS' proud of him
after beating TRUSTWORTHY SCRIBE and getting 20 points. Talk about yer major upsets!
JER BER's match with THE LOTUS cost him a loss of 14 points! Don't you think the
Duelmaster is being unfair? I think ILSA SHE-WOLF should let NANCY PELOSI be
Duelmaster for a while, without fighting about it. Is the Duelmaster really being a
real snob to his teammates? Don't ask me!
So just why would someone becomes a warrior anyway? It can't be for these
really neat Spyreports can it? The warriors of SAVAGE HEARTS 2 must be getting
lonely. They were the most avoided team. Do you guys know something that I don't?
Is there some deep dark secret why WHITE WOLF's been avoiding SAVAGE HEARTS 2 so
much? Or is it just that they're too scared? Like, is SCHWARZENEGGER popular, or
what? He was challenged the most in all of SOLVEN! He's got a 4-2-0, is that good?
See if I ever talk to ROE V WADE again! BRUJAH was so low when She challenged she.
Hhmph! If ROE V WADE can't beat a warrior 25 points below herself, that she
CHALLENGED, she oughtta be selling food in the stands! NO HURRY must not be a good
enough fighter to get in fair fights. He challenged FLAT TAX. 10 is a big
difference. (Well, that's what they tell me.) I thought NO HURRY showed great skill
and promise when he subdued FLAT TAX. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Challenges, revenges, Bloodfeuds. All SOLVEN ever talks about is fighting! Me,
I'm more laid back. I hear CONSPIRACY INC. sent ANN COULTER to the Dark Arena.
What, is that like not well-lit, or what? Hey you guys, don't you think your

the throne, I had a lovely column written only to find the web site down for the

I am currently trying to put together a favorites chart for AD warriors. I
desperately need help with this. What I need are style, favorite rhythm (ex.:
hi/low), favorite weapons, and tactics. What would be great is if you could send me
a copy of the invite with the warrior's name, id#, and arena blacked out. This way,
I can verify that this is an actual warrior. Minis will work, too!
For those interested, I have both a challenge style vs. style and a match-up style
vs. style chart. There's about 250 fights calculated in these charts, and I'll be

FACE-TO-FACE XXXIV
Our next Winter Face-to-Face will be held on Martin Luther King weekend, Friday
through Sunday, 14-16 January 2005, at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, Arizona (4400 S
Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
