DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Hi, all, it is I -- Easy Breeze -- your newly victorious Duelmaster. My road to this
place was long and hard but at last I am in my rightful place. A year and a half ago
Mr.Freeze brought myself and four other warriors to Solven to seek glory. One of us,
the warrior Ice Cold, is now among the dead. Of the other four warriors, my victory
caps the team's efforts -- all four of us have made it to Duelmaster. I follow in
the footsteps of What Up, No Hurry, and Maybe Later. With 80 percent of the original
team earning this high rank we feel very good. Our new young fighters have much
learning to do -- but around this place they only have two options: learn or die. I
don't know how long I will be on top before I fail or graduate but as long as I am
here I will not avoid anyone so bring on your best.
SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of SOLVEN! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Fortune did not smile upon SHADOWRIGHT
this time out who this turn suffered a fall into 8th position in the wake of a 0-2-0
round. Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner! Witness how
this week THE ZOO went 3-0-0 to move up 6 in the rankings. D.O.A. DOMINANCE caught
the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as it skillfully bested SNOWBALL and
was awarded 15 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels,
D.O.A. DOMINANCE put down SNOWBALL, causing her to lose 15 points of recognition in
the process. Although TAX DEDUCTION made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to
topple the reign of victorious EASY BREEZE. Informants "close" to the city champion
have told me that he never fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city SOLVEN. My inside sources tell me that the team to beat in SOLVEN these
days is THE REPUBLICANS. At least, most blades in town are looking to avoid them.
If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any of
KELLUMBO'S KIDS last week. Busy avoiding THE REPUBLICANS? Mighty fighters cannot
but expect competition from those below. SHADOWSHADE take warning! You have more
than a few enemies in SOLVEN.
