                                 DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
                             Notes from the arena champ.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...oh, wait--no more snow?!?! They say the
Blizzard has to go, that it is time for spring. Well, look out because Mr. Freeze
has more Chillin fighters that are just waiting to take over when I am gone. Enjoy a
little break in the weather--it won't last. I, on the other hand, think I will work
on my tan, the only sands I plan to visit are on a beach somewhere. It has been a
blast--a cold blast from a Blizzard.

                                      SPY REPORT

So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. We now have a new top team for all of you guys
to dogpile on. JUST CHILLIN now holds the crown and they are betting they can keep
it. Advancing in the rankings was MEDIEVAL CHAOS who went from last turn's 88-93-8,
to this week's record of 91-94-8. Our battling duelmaster BLIZZARD has managed to
hold the title, fending off CEPACOL's none too subtle advances. Better luck next
time, MEDIEVAL CHAOS. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but an onion a day keeps
T.P.s at bay.
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the SOLVEN arena. Here's a
song for you: Who's afraid of the big, bad MEDIEVAL CHAOS? Big bad MEDIEVAL CHAOS.
Big bad MEDIEVAL CHAOS. SOLVEN's afraid of the big bad MEDIEVAL CHAOS. Tra la la la
la! Okay, so I may not be funny, but catch KELLUMBO'S KIDS' act in the arena. Those
acrobats seem to be fairly deft at running from MEDIEVAL CHAOS. And who is this UP
you ask, with 63 points and a 12-6-0 record. Ooh, the tales I could tell! In a
touching display by a 'touched' warrior, SMELLY went after UP, who was higher by 18
points. Well, when the dust settled, SMELLY won victory over UP.
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). Ask not the elves for counsel, for they
will say both yes and no. Silly buggers, eh?
I think I had better cut this one short. It's been nice chatting to those of
you whom I have not offended yet. Okay, so I may not be the world's best comedian,
but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. Its been real, and its been fun,
but it hasn't been real fun...-- The Unknown Spymaster

A few notes about e-mailed personals:

You may submit personal ads, columns, spotlights, etc. electronically, either via e-
mail to ads at reality dot com (which doesn't need any more spam, thank you) or on
the web at http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Ads. When you submit
something, you should get back a receipt from HAL at RSI. If you do NOT get a
receipt, your ads may have gone astray (not all e-mail makes it to its destination
any more than all snail mail does). If you DO get a receipt, it should, in the body
of the message, tell you what arena your stuff was filed in. Check your receipt to
make sure your submission made it to the intended destination. Also check to see
that everything you sent made it to the same place. Sometimes HAL, who is rather
simple-minded in some ways, will send half your stuff to another arena if the name
or number of that arena shows up at the beginning of a line. So if the word Ti
appears at the beginning of a line halfway through your ads, all the ads after that
may end up in Ti, which is closed and doesn't need ads. As a side note, sometimes
things move slowly, so don't wait until the last minute to send your ads and all.
If they get held up along the way, they may not show up until next turn. Happy
writing! -- Ed.

To all those lookin' for some easy pickins: I, Elfwine, manager of The Shallowship,
the most feared team in all of Jhelum, invite all who seek wide open spaces for pubs
and other such establishments of limited debauchery, to visit this deserted city and
help me clear up some of the dust. I'm just about ready to have my guys face off
against each other to get some new action. Guess I'd better join a tournament or
something...hmmmm, there's a thought.
