Notes from the arena champ.
Ahhh, the few, the proud few remaining warriors of Solven. I salute you.
It is that time of year once again to sharpen the weapons, spend a few extra hours
training, and prepare for the upcoming tourney. Make Solven proud, and bring a
championship home to us.
As for me, I am off to the practice grounds in anticipation of a rematch with Up. I
guess we'll see if it was a fluke, or if I simply matured enough to take out the big
guy.

Hail SOLVEN! Warriors of the arena, prepare to be praised and blamed for your
deeds. And let's see, FRIST fought FROZEN FANNY and gained 18 points and contributed
to THE REPUBLICANS' 2-2-0. TRUMP has lost to HOT TUB JOHNNY, falling 8 points, while
helping make THE REPUBLICANS a 2-2-0 turn. Defending hers title for another turn,
DONNETTA kept JUST CHILLIN's warrior, OH WELL, from claiming the throne. Tell me, is
nothing sacred? I have heard from unimpeachable sources that The Victory Tavern uses
trolls in their stew. Talk about gristle!
He who challenges well, fights well. He who avoids without cause, shall lose
for good reasons. My mama told me that one. I also notice that the JUST CHILLIN
stable was the most avoided team this turn. Come on SOLVEN, what are you afraid of?
And guess who avoided JUST CHILLIN stable the most? Believe it or not, it was
KELLUMBO'S KIDS. Anyone surprised? Well, sports fans, take notice that UP from JUST
CHILLIN was SOLVEN's most challenged warrior this turn. I don't know about you, but
GRANDPA RAT challenging down 38 points to THE REPUBLICANS' JOHN ROBERTS, is not
really worthy of KELLUMBO'S KIDS. It pains me to see warriors take advantage of the
system like this. GRANDPA RAT won victory over JOHN ROBERTS, as if it surprises
anyone. In a brave attempt, TASHELL from KELLUMBO'S KIDS challenged up 25 points to
fight UP from the JUST CHILLIN stable. TASHELL perhaps got hers just desserts,
seeing as she won victory over UP and ended up with 89 recognition points.
The Dark Arena is for those who cannot win, not who cannot lose with grace.
Dignity in life or death is the warrior's creed. Is it really true that SOLVEN has
more dishwashers per capita that fighters? Just thought I'd ask...
I like this place, SOLVEN, the taverns have old wine, and young serving girls.

P.S. Er, Jorja says you're doing fine, and I should be glad I survived it. And then
she gave me the Look. You know, the one that says, "Go ahead, die, I won't mind at
all." I think she's planning on moving in the next Middle Way team once I vacate
this guildhouse, but I'm going to hang on as long as I can. I'll GRADUATE if I can,
although that means (wince) a minimum of seven more turns, winning every one. Not
all that likely, really.
Country the Manager -- The rest of my teammates have all died or graduated, and
Leeta, the nominal boss here, won't recruit new ones. As noted above, the plan seems
to be for this team to die off so the next Middle Way can move in. -- Benito Chatte
Naruto -- The timing may not be good on a contest here, as one is soon going to begin
in Tobir (14), a feud is building in Chimlevtal (31), and a couple of other contests
are running out the later segments in Aradi (60) and Dullens (13), plus probably more
I forget about. Is there one in North Fork (47) at the moment? And what about
Fratsfa (52)? But you can try. -- Leeta (the Andorian manager name for Jorja)
Dullens is over and Aradi has...one more turn, I think. Not much longer, at any
rate. North Fork starts again in January or February. Fratsfa's done for the

I am back in the arena and thinking back to those days in 1984 where I was a
novice and clueless manager.
Now, 22 years later it looks like I am an ancient and once again clueless
manager.
I am looking to recover some old warriors. Since none of them are Aimed Blows,
they are no threat to win anything. I just want to see how they turned out.

It is obvious that the Dark Knights wish to be shown the light. Allow me to step
forward and blind them with truth. YOU ARE WORTHLESS!!! The Dark Knights are so
afraid of the light that they hide behind their black armor and empty threats. It is
too bad they are unwilling to actually FIGHT us! I guess our natural light is too
