SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly ZORPUNT games. TENTACRUEL caught the eye of many in
the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested PINE LEAF and was awarded 11
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, CAPTURED ORC put
down BUBBA JONES, causing him to lose 5 points of recognition in the process.
Although STONEFISH made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of
victorious WARTORTLE. Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that he
never fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. ZORPUNT, city of gladiators!
Mighty among the names of thy guilds is AUSSIE KILLERS, a guild shunned and avoided
by many in the weekly duels. Apparently the stalwarts of WATER DECK are catching the
bulk of jests down at the challenging board for their large share of the avoids.
Loose talk at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that
many fighters are after JOE POOLE. Watch your back! I can not but mention with
disdain the name of GYRADOS who this week posted a challenge to a warrior a full 15
points below in the rankings. I thought GYRADOS showed great skill and promise when
he beat JOE POOLE. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers
the miserable with fortune but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed a
stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!
Till we meet again, remember: a turtle walks slow, hides head in a shell, and harms
no one; a lion runs to slay its prey.-- Zontani Sharp Eyes

PERSONAL ADS
Tiger Shark -- "When the shark bites..." oh, oh, that hurts! And the bit with the
sand, talk about adding insult to injury! May you have itchy dry skin, and may all
your teeth ache. -- Pine Leaf
King Brown Snake -- But you are NOT, I repeat NOT, to take that as an invitation to
join me in the bathtub. If I share my tub with somebody, I want it to be female,
human, about my age, shapely and eager, all that stuff. Not a darned snake. -- Joe
Poole
Tentacruel -- Any relation to Tentacruella DeVille? I just wondered because you look
rather like her. And that "wicked laugh." (shakes head) The laugh is a give-away,
no good trying to pretend to be a nice guy after that. -- Trina Lark
The Userous Merchant has red hair, and I hate guys with red hair. It's a sign of
wickedness, red hair is. Deep-dyed evil. Fact. -- Bubba Jones
P.S. On a woman, it means, ahem, that she's approachable, and really hot.
Well, if I'd been living in Mordant, I'd desert, too. Who'd want to stay there? --
Bill Poole
P.S. But that didn't mean I had to let the dirty turncoat live, did it?
Tiger Shark -- Well, I don't care for it either, the little things get caught in my
teeth, and the aftertaste.... (shudder) Way it goes. -- Trina Lark
20 April 2005
I have returned after a five-year absence. I expect all tithes, gifts and bequeaths
to resume as normal. -- Magic Man
4 May 2005
Several questions have been asked about Slaughter's Challenge that I'd like to
address and clarify.
1) All Prizes must be used on the contest team, this includes the resurrection.
Remember any fast arena team should be able to transfer to a slow arena
(except for arena 82, I believe).
2) Warriors will be allowed to fight and run in the dead tourney, should there
be one, and return if an opening can be made without breaking the rules
(i.e. only one DA fight allowed per team).
3) If you win your single DA match you do not get another. It's one use of the
Dark Arena win or lose so if you want him/her/it dead be sure and throw the
match!
4) The resurrection potion's longevity has been extended by the commission to 6
months but the other potions (favorites, and +1 bonus) must still be used
within 2 turns and on a 5 FE or higher warrior. The resurrection can go on
any warrior regardless of FE.
Street Legal
P.S. My thanks to those already entered (Hammer, The Consortium, Tripwire, Stik, and
Shaman) and hope many more find a reason to come to arena 54. Again, my email is
triumph1971@hotmail.com or you can diplo me in arena 14 at THE DEATH SQUAD (63) if
you need more info!
