DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Hey y'all, I am back for my *fourth* turn in a row as Lyratilan's Duelmaster, and
fifth time on Lyratilan's throne overall. I finally got my challenge through to Big
Mojo Elem. He did not disappoint, but your boy still came through and held onto the
throne. I finally have a winning record!
Funny story last turn. Apparently, there was an "operator error." My manager put down
"1" in the first minute of the strategy sheet for offensive effort for my compadre
Morgan Wallen instead of "10." He was standing around with his longsword in his hand
wondering what to do. Aria Stark, hero of Game of Thrones, stared down Morgan.
Fortunately, Morgan survived the first minute, got his act together, knocked that
Valyrian steel weapon out of her hand, and ended the fight in the second minute.
Sadly, we bid farewell to our teammate Gary Allan who will visit the Dark Arena this
turn. He is a below average striker, and we can't have that on our team. I guess we
won't be seeing any more "Smoke Rings in the Dark" for those of you who know how the
song goes.
Not entirely sure who deserves a shot at the title this turn. Already fought Snooks
Eaglin several times, and Big Mojo Elem last cycle. Clint Black wants a shot at
Snooks, so let's see if his challenge goes through. I am going to leave things to
fate. Hope to be back again next turn.

SPY REPORT
You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to LYRATILAN once again! It seems so recently people were saying
NEON GRATITUDE was washed up, finished. But 3-0-0 moved them up 0. I guess they're
washed no more... What's with OBRIGADO? He actually beat GONE COUNTRY's GARTH
BROOKS, and walked away with 25 more points from the fight. Laughs were big at
WORKING GIRLS while they watched JADE clobber CLINT BLACK. He lost 13 points and got
bruised from objects thrown from the stands. I can barely restrain my enthusiam for
NEON GRATITUDE's outstanding member, Duelmaster AETHER FLOW. Wouldn't it be nice to
have live subjects to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of
convicted prisoners.
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. The
most avoided team was NEON GRATITUDE. In my day, no team with a 55-63-3 would scare
me off! What's the problem, GONE COUNTRY?
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? How long have I been here? I got people to see, places to
go...
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.
