TEAM SPOTLIGHT
A cool summer night's breeze made its way across the Lyratilan harbor. This
breeze carried the stench of death and fresh blood. A small ship eased into anchor
in the harbor. A banner long forgotten flowed from the longboat that carried three
people to the Lyratilan shore. The blood-red banner of the Crimson Brotherhood.
A middle aged man set foot on shore first. He was followed by a beautiful young
woman. Last to come ashore was a man or maybe not, as it seemed he just flowed with
the wind and did not actually move.
The young woman looked to the middle aged man and said, "Azereth, we have come
home!"
"Yes, Scarlet, it seems we have," was the reply the man gave to the woman.
The thing that was a man or maybe not a man spoke up. "Yes, it is time for the
city of Lyratilan to welcome home Azereth, the man who manages the deadly team
Scarlet Blades. It's time the city welcomes back the beautiful lady Scarlet. The
lady who has shed more blood of her foes than the rest of the Lyratilan arena
combine. And last but not least, it's time for the city to welcome me back. For I
am the Master of the Night. I am the vampire Draco and I shall win this next tourney
of the dead!"
The three who had not been seen for maybe five years or more made their way into
the city to reclaim what was theirs long ago.

Busy, busy, busy, lots of things happening in LYRATILAN this turn, and let's
start with a look at some of the teams. It seems the training can make the
difference, as THE MIDDLE WAY 4 is pushed out of top team by FUNKY FOLK VI, who came
from 2nd with a 3-1-0 this turn. The FUNKY FOLK VI guild has had a 3-1-0 turn and
deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this kind of thing can
lead. And let's see, JERI COE fought FRIENDLY CONSTABLE and gained 13 points and
contributed to FUNKY FOLK VI's 3-1-0. WE LIKE THE MOON has lost to BRON CHOLLU,
falling 4 points, while helping make SPONGMONKEYS a 0-1-0 turn. Defending hers title
for another turn, FELAWESHIPE kept SCARLET BLADES' warrior, SCARLET, from claiming
the throne. By the way, was that our Duelmaster that I saw last night, cramped under
the table at The Piper's Rest?
The crowd's roar, the smell of iron and leather, mixed with sweat, what more
could a warrior ask of life? Well, besides that. CHAUCERS WORDS has cause to stand
tall, as they were LYRATILAN's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a
team to beat. And guess who avoided CHAUCERS WORDS stable the most? Believe it or
not, it was THIS LITTLE PRIGGY. Anyone surprised? The most challenged warrior this
turn was CHAUCERS WORDS' warrior SQUYER. More fighters challenged it than challenged
the Duelmaster! Well now, what do you expect when someone like STAYED HOME from THIS
LITTLE PRIGGY challenges down 26 points to fight SQUYER of CHAUCERS WORDS? I thought
challenges were for warriors, not cowards looking for easy wins. STAYED HOME subdued
SQUYER, is nothing sacred?
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? Kudos go out to BRON CHOLLU this turn, for revenging THE MIDDLE WAY
4's bloodfeud against SPONGMONKEYS' warrior WE LIKE THE MOON. Well done. Is it
really true that LYRATILAN has more dishwashers per capita that fighters? Just
thought I'd ask...

Invitation to Newbie Managers

As a Captain of the Vendetta Cartel, Hammer has recently dissolved the Vendetta
Cartel Crimson Ascension Family. Lady Martilyo and Rook are NO LONGER members of the
Vendetta Cartel.
The Vendetta Cartel is divided into "Families" under the leadership of Captains;
who have been appointed by the VC God Father known throughout the dueling land as
Master Darque.
Hammer is now the Captain of the Vendetta Cartel Tarantula Tribe and the veteran
manager extends an invitation for prospective membership as a Probate [ONLY 2 Probate
positions are available in the VC Tarantula Tribe at the present time!] to any Newbie
Manager who qualifies under the following conditions:
1. Newbie Manager MUST have Online Access for Email communications! [Hammer is
presently living in Qatar and Lieutenants Maximillian and Firehawk are living in
Canada; so Email Communication is a MUST for consideration!]
2. Newbie Manager MUST have the time and funds to create 2 new stables to be
placed in 2 separate Slow Arenas [the cost of running 1 stable in a Regular Arena!]
to actively participate on a monthly basis with the other 3 T-Tribe members of the
Vendetta Cartel!
