Notes from the arena champ.
Ugh. Sorry for the Lack of DM columns, but Giglie is not a warrior of a lot of
words...coherent words in particular. After getting pounded on with a quarterstaff
for three minutes this week he's pretty liquored up to dull the pain so I wasn't even
going to take the chance to see what he was going to say this time.
As a Manger, I beg you guys, please teach the idiot something! After 15
separate turns on the top I must say that I am almost as sick of the guy as the rest
of you must be. I've reviewed his fights and determined that I have had to watch him
get hit by some weapon at least 250 times on the sands of Lyratilan. I beg you all!
One Defense Skill. Please! Anyone!
In other news, I would like you all to welcome our newest team, the Amazons.
The Manager of that team is very smart and is quite the looker. Although, she did
choose to marry me so I'll get back to you on that smart comment. You savages
already skewered two of her promising young warriors. You guys (And gals) really
need to learn how to treat a lady. Oh wait, I'm making her play DuelII. Maybe it's
ME that needs to learn how to treat a lady!

SPY REPORT
If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
LYRATILAN brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. MY FIRST TEAM turned their 4-1-0
turn into a 2nd place rank in the listings this turn. Any better than this, and you
get put on hit lists. Now let's all watch ERRATA's heads swell from their 4-1-0 this
turn. Haa ha ha ha! Big shots, big talk, big deal. Of course, we're all terribly
impressed to see MASTIF win a fight and gain 22 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, MASTIF
beat ANNE and ANNE lost 14 points. You're breakin' my heart. And if variety is the
spice of life, LYRATILAN may be getting bland, as GIGLIE stays top dog in the city.
Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys
win their fights? Skill? Ha!
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys.
What's the big D? MADTOWN was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily livered...
grumble... mumble... curse... And who led the way in this mass act of cowardice?
Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was ERRATA. Ha ha ha ha! Ooh, I'm frightfully
impressed, JIFI was this turn's most challenged warrior. Watch that ego swell,
sports fans.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. Not that I'll be buying the drinks, but
I'll be glad to see SHEZA BANSHEE and GREAT UNKNOWN at The Piper's Rest tonight
celebrating their bloodfeud victory over JIFI. We're all going to die in the end, so
why worry if the fate catches up with you sooner that later?
There's got to be a better place in LYRATILAN to get a drink than The Piper's
Rest! Any suggestions? Just wait 'till next time I show up here, I won't be so

Our next summer FTF will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, July 27-29, 2007. It will be
held at the Sheraton Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, on 3405 Lenox Road NE (404-261-9250).
Room rates are $95.00 per night, 1-4 occupancy. There is a free shuttle from the
MARTA station two blocks away and free parking, high speed internet (for extra charge),
fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--ask for the Reality
Simulations room block. Look for transportation info in the tournament information
