SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of LYRATILAN! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team BARHOPPERS was
unseated this week as BARHOPPERS II moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot
with a 4-1-1 record for the round. My praise to FUNKY FOLK for their 3-0-0 week this
time out. Indeed, it was a skillfully fought round deserving of notice! HOLMER
KEYES caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested
FAMOUS GROUSE and was awarded 15 points in recognition. In one of the week's more
notable duels, WORKER BEE put down MOJITO, causing him to lose 6 points of
recognition in the process. Not for nothing has KEG STAND in the past laid claim to
the Duelmaster's throne, and this week he's proven his combat skill yet again. No
confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has gained their position using
magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city LYRATILAN. LYRATILAN, city of gladiators! Mighty among the names of
thy guilds is DARK FORCES, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly duels.
Apparently the stalwarts of FUNKY FOLK are catching the bulk of jests down at the
challenging board for their large share of the avoids. Loose talk at the arena has
reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after FEDER
JORNIS. Watch your back! A match that raised a few eyebrows at the games this week,
it seems that ICE PICK posted a challenge against the more highly recognized PHIL
ANDERER. The results, you ask? Well, the firebrand ICE PICK was subdued by PHIL
ANDERER. Remember warriors, this is the discipline of steel. I can not but mention
with disdain the name of CHIANTI who this week posted a challenge to a warrior a full
11 points below in the rankings. I thought CHIANTI showed great skill and promise
when he dealt death to DIRTY BEE. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears
arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in LYRATILAN. Nice atmosphere you have here! Ahh, but I can hear the spires
