Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team THE MIDDLE WAY 4 was
unseated this week as GOTTA GET A CLUE moved up from 3rd ranking to take the top spot
with a 3-1-0 record for the round. BEETLEJUICE caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested MELONDIE PRINN and was awarded 6
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, CANDYMAN put down
POISON, causing her to lose 2 points of recognition in the process. Although
GILGAMESH IDON made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of
victorious ROBIN STORZ. Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that he
never fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city LYRATILAN. I saw one fighter that warriors avoided when this week's
challenge seeking began. THE MIDDLE WAY 4 is feared. This much I can say. Methinks
more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the better part of last
week avoiding THE MIDDLE WAY 4. Indeed it was FUNKY FOLK. At the gambling halls I
have started to bet money on LORRIE DRIVER. She has got the courage it takes.
Witness hers challenge this turn against THE HALLWAY! To be sure the battle was a
losing one. But I like to think LORRIE DRIVER at least gave THE HALLWAY a run for
its money.
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the
miserable with fortune but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times

WINTER FACE-TO-FACE IN SUNNY ARIZONA!
Our next winter FTF will be held in Tempe, Arizona, January 13-15, 2012. It will be
held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Tempe, Arizona (480-894-7444), the same hotel as
last year by popular request. Room rates are $134.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy, which
includes full cooked breakfast, complimentary manager's reception, free airport
shuttle, free parking and free high speed internet. There's a fitness center,
jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--please make your reservation by December 15
before the block is released! (This is prime season for Phoenix, and people have been
unable to book rooms because they waited too long.) Look for the tournament info
