DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
The few, the proud, the warriors of Caleam. I send you greetings and
salutations as your new Duelmaster. A quick thank you goes out to Koribus for
putting up with all of my TV challenges. Without you, I am sure I would not be
sitting on top of the arena right now.
Seems like everywhere I look, I see one of Papaiz's guys lurking around.
Hopefully I will get lucky and have a favorable match up this turn and keep the seat.
Unfortunately, it looks like Flimsy is the best warrior in the arena currently. I'll
have to do my best to avoid that fight.
Well, Sablon is giving me the cut signal, so it's time for me to wrap this up.
Hopefully in a few turns there will be more warriors here than just Papaiz's putz.
Until next turn.
-- Splinter
SPY REPORT
You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to CALEAM once again! Some people say I ramble too much, I don't
say anything relevant. I repeat myself. I ramble. Well SHERWOOD FOREST moved up 1,
to 3rd. What's with MISS PRISS? She actually beat WARCKERS' TUK ADOW, and walked
away with 17 more points from the fight. Major screwup at HOME LIFE. BIRTHDAY GIRL
lost 10 points to QUEEN PAPAYA. Some new strategies, perhaps? Maybe BIRTHDAY GIRL
will provide more easy wins... I can barely restrain my enthusiam for WARCKERS'
outstanding member, Duelmaster FLIMSY. I suppose you want to hear some rumors and
dirty gossip about your fellow fighters? Tough!
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... The most avoided team
was WARCKERS. Management must be dealin', as the boys at HEADBANGERS ain't reelin'!
WARCKERS' mad! How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged warrior,
GO-FER! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you. Fighting is a
better craft than farming, ROSIE, but you have to pay your dues. Being challenged by
HIDDEN DOOM, 27 points above you, is dues. HIDDEN DOOM's gonna be practicin' hard
this week, after ROSIE, lower ranked by far, mashed him! I hate going to the effort
of writing about the kind of fights that DOOMSDAY gets in. He fights people like
BOUNCER, 9 points below. I thought DOOMSDAY showed great skill and promise when he
beat BOUNCER. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? Many a warrior has met his fate in a hungover stupor. You
young rapscallions, take note!
Well, I'm pretty much through. You guys need to get back practicing. The end
of another Spyreport! That's cause for celebration in my book! I don't want to
overstay my welcome...-- Olaf Modeen

Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
If you haven't been to a Face-to-Face before, you're overdue. If you have,
you'll be back. Don't miss this one, it'll be a blast! See you there!
