Notes from the arena champ.
Whoa Nelly! What a surprise to see Loris walking out on the sands last turn!
This has got me thinking. The utter chutzpah of it requires some kind of special
commemoration.
Sven has asked me to create a special dish to honor Golderie, but I think I must
put my talents to honoring the lovely Loris. And besides, Sven insisted on a dish
using root vegetables and nuts. And as much as I like baked turnips, onions, and
peanuts it has already been done.
No, no, no. Loris deserves much better. Considering the Golden Canyon's recent
fascination with shell fish and melons, I thought that perhaps a shrimp dish would be
in order, but then I figured no way. With her diminutive size, Loris may take this
the wrong way. Hey! As a Half-elf I'm only an inch taller, so I understand, you
know. No, this dish had to be really different. I'm thinking of a knock-out side
dish to accompany a lackluster entrie. Yes! A medley of squashes would be perfect.
Personally, I love 'em. "Squash Loris" it shall be. Now, on to the stove and
culinary perfection!

Welcome CALEAM. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights have
I fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... DOC LEGRAND'S LAB showed
CALEAM what they were made of as they fought with a vengeance to walk off with 4-1-0.
What's with ARTHUR BEYER? He actually beat GOLDEN CANYON's MAUREEN, and walked away
with 25 more points from the fight. Major screwup at STEEL CRUSADE. SVEN BLUETOOTH
lost 10 points to GOLDERIE. Some new strategies, perhaps? Maybe SVEN BLUETOOTH will
provide more easy wins... I'm sure CALEAM is excited about LORIS KEY, the new
Duelmaster from GOLDEN CANYON. (remember?) But when you've seen as many as I
have... I suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow
fighters? Tough!
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. How
well I know the feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of
practive, MEDAL OF HONOR VI! In my day, no team with a 5-2-0 would scare me off!
What's the problem, STEEL CRUSADE? What do people see in PIKE? His 9-6-0? GOLDEN
CANYON ain't talkin', but he's got 46 points.
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? ARTHUR BEYER killed MAUREEN, and expects revenge from GOLDEN
CANYON. The dead are better off dead--they have no worries. Many a warrior has met
his fate in a hungover stupor. You young rapscallions, take note!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here?
