TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Greetings. My name is Charlie Rankin. I am the manager of the amazing
warriors of Bizarro Squad. I've travelled with my students from a far away place
known as Ebarron. Maybe you've heard of it?
I managed a school for gladiators there until I was upshot by some... well,
let's just say younger people. They would not have been so lucky back in my good
days. You should have seen me then!
Anyways, some of my pupils decided to leave with me. We like it here, and wish
to contend in your arena. My main gladiators, Todd and Casanova, will fight every
turn. Nola, The Count, and The Lady will rotate every turn. I tell you this so you
don't waste your challenges on these three. However, if you are brave enough to
challenge them in the personals, I promise it will not go unanswered.
Now, thank you for listening to the rants of an old man. May the gods have
mercy on your souls, because Bizarro Squad... IS HERE!!

Notes from the arena champ.
Well, well, was aiming to fight Cascella to achieve this honor, but I guess one
D'Haran's as good as another. *wry grin* Not sure that I'm equipped to hold the
throne long, but I'm going to enjoy it while I can. Right now it's up to the Finance
Manager and Lord Rahl's troops to try and shake me. Good luck, and don't be fooled
by appearances.

SPY REPORT
Greetings, warriors of MORYA! Once again I've been called out of retirement for
my abilities and insights into Spyreporting. What's with LILY OF SARMATIA? She
actually beat PHANTACITY's VRTOGLAVA, and walked away with 22 more points from the
fight. Major screwup at DODGE BULLETS. POP TARGET lost 11 points to GARROT. Some
new strategies, perhaps? Maybe POP TARGET will provide more easy wins... I'm sure
MORYA is excited about TAXES, the new Duelmaster from EXPENSE ACCOUNT. (remember?)
But when you've seen as many as I have... Wouldn't it be nice to have live subjects
to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... The most avoided team
was ISIS PTAH. In my day, no team with a 18-7-0 would scare me off! What's the
problem, STEEL AND SILK? What do people see in POP TARGET? His 8-9-0? DODGE
BULLETS ain't talkin', but he's got 51 points. BOMBYCINUS MORS of STEEL AND SILK
knows how to pick 'em. She challenged GOPHER BROKE of DODGE BULLETS who is up by 19.
Now was this a wise move? BOMBYCINUS MORS perhaps got hers just desserts, seeing as
she overcame GOPHER BROKE and ended up with 33 recognition points.
Warriors of MORYA unite. You have only your games to lose! Is it my
imagination, or are fighters getting younger every day? To die so young, so
gloriously!
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.

WINTER FACE-TO-FACE IN SUNNY ARIZONA!
Our next winter FTF will be held in Tempe, Arizona, January 13-15, 2012. It will be
held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Tempe, Arizona (480-897-7444), the same hotel as
last year by popular request. Room rates are $134.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy, which
includes full cooked breakfast, complimentary manager's reception, free airport
shuttle, free parking and free high speed internet. There's a fitness center,
jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--please make your reservation by December 15
before the block is released! (This is prime season for Phoenix, and people have been
unable to book rooms because they waited too long.) Look for the tournament info
sheet and minioverviews some time in December. We hope you're all looking forward to
