belongs here as opposed to the personal ads. It's a little long and I have to take a
jackass to the woodshed.

That's right. I never said it. I said "The funny part is that his death was
the reason I didn't want to participate in the contest. I know a lot of you guys are
better than your record lets on."
Did you or that lead paint eating twit you call a manager stop to think that it
was a compliment? I didn't expect you to kill Hush. That is why I challenged you.
Anyway, nowhere in that statement did I say Peggy Sue was "some super secret
megawarrior with all sorts of hidden FE." In fact, no one's name was listed in my
original statement. Your sense of self-worth is over-inflated and misplaced.
Do I need to break it down more? I told the Hush to challenge you. That means
I was afraid of everyone else in the arena BUT YOU. You just got lucky. Remember
the part where Hush was breaking down your defense? He had your number except for
two lucky hits. Your part of the fight was essentially closing your eyes and
flailing wildly. Yeah, you got the kill and the win. But it was luck.
Thanks to your manager posting your stats, I see that I am right. By the way,
if I thought you were some mega-warrior with a lot of FE, I would say it. Even if I
role-played it, I would say it.
I never said it was your fault that Hush died. But your kill played a role in
my decision to make my break indefinite. My reason for that is because the team
isn't that good; Mongo is 27 fights of terrible. Marin is bad, and Water Rat's
replacement is so bad, I am considering sending him to the tourney in hopes he will
die and not affect the Lord's record. Yeap. He isn't worth the one loss from the
dark arena. I had also planned on bowing out to show respect to your friend and not
disrupt your tourney. Remember?

If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
MORYA brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. If Arthur's Last Stand is buying
drinks for BIG LAKE PURE's good turn, I'm afraid the place will be dry before long.
A 4-1-1 makes for a big thirst. If this keeps up, MOST LEE, you'll have to shine
swords instead of use them. A drop of 9 in the rankings? Gee, I'm impressed, a
4-1-0 is nice, but don't get cocky, COMIC STRIPS, the Fates teach humility, and the
Fates are proud. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see LONGSHOREMAN win a
fight and gain 29 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, BIG GUT beat GORDONS and GORDONS lost
14 points. You're breakin' my heart. And if variety is the spice of life, MORYA may
be getting bland, as EYE BAGS stays top dog in the city. Kickbacks and bribes,
kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys win their fights?
Skill? Ha!
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys. Ooh,
I'm frightfully impressed, BLUE MOON was this turn's most challenged warrior. Watch
that ego swell, sports fans. I guess I can give a little credit to TODD MAYES of
BIZARRO SQUAD for challenging up by 19 to BLUE MOON. TODD MAYES lost to get 30
points of recognition. And we have VAUDRYN in a challenge, going down 10 points for
the fight. Guess what? I thought VAUDRYN showed great skill and promise when he
lost to PINK SHIRT. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Death and Taxes. The less death I see, the more it taxes my patience. Let's
see if anyone's dead or dying. Bye bye, warrior, bye bye... TALISMAN, a glorious
12-13-1 fighter, has passed away. Gee, too bad MAGICAL MADNESS. And now a passing
thought on a warrior dying young (THE LOVERS of PANDORA'S CARDS): You had your
chance and now you're dead. Oh well... Nipped in the bud, you might say, was
HIGHWINE of BIG SHOTS this turn. Course, I wouldn't say that, so much as have a
belly laugh. Heh heh. The bigger they are, as they say. And what I say is that
LONGSHOREMAN had better watch out for MAGICAL MADNESS, seeing as TALISMAN felled he
this turn. Three down, and one turn to go for MEAN PEOPLE to call in the bloodfeud
against FLO VALVE, else SWINDLER STANG is but small history. Honor is like a
chainmail shirt, it only shines through use. Certain nameless cowards will doubtless
rebuke me on this one.

"So this is it again, is it?" Lew Voth asked. "Less than seven years since they
closed Dwes Eg to new teams, and now they're closing Blackstone?"
"Only to new teams," one of the spymasters pointed out. "And it's necessary.
There are several file rooms we haven't been able to enter in months because they're
too full of team records."
"Nothing you couldn't fix with a lighted match," Jame Rinvar suggested.
Technically he should not have been there, since he'd taken over full time as the
arenamaster of Shadowspire. But no one wanted to tell him to leave.
