DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
What the F?!? Which one of you paid off the Commission to send me to the Isle before
my 20 arena fights? I was kind of counting on getting the full 20 fights here in Lapur
before heading off, but NO, someone had to cheat and skirt the usual requirements. But
having seen my faves now, my record makes sense. We will see if I can yet surpass
Neon's personal best undefeated streak of 19. (If so, it will have to come at the
Isle, but I will keep Lapur informed.)
In other news, meet Tasalon's sister, Tasalinda. She arrives this cycle. Our other
teammate is making tournament preparations, so it will be a while before you all meet
Chronomancer. Let's just say he is eager to fight with a Vengeance.
So, let me offer premature congratulations to whoever inherits the throne upon my
departure. You don't deserve it. ;-)

SPY REPORT
Greetings, Lapurians! This week we honor two more new invitees, Neon's undefeated
champion SMOOTH OPERATOR of NEON VELVET and Vlad's veteran IGNORANCE IS BLISS of
ALMOST EXACTLY. They took totally different paths, but they both have earned their
title of Lord Protector. Congrats to you both. Now with our Duelmaster leaving we
finally get a new warrior at the top. Who will it be!?! It looks like the Bloke's
POISON IVY or Vlad's killer LOTS OF KNOTS are the favorites. Who would you put your
money on? Let's get to it and find out.
Down two guilds in the ranks to 13, with 3 inactive. From those guilds we have 21
matches in the lists: One Dark Arena fight where HOOCH 2 of BUFFALO TRACE '25
slaughtered a SHAMBLING MOUND, then there are 7 challenge fights and that leaves 13
commission match-ups. With Smooth leaving we have a new champion on top and it was a
random, POISON IVY of AVOID ME! fought KUHRIS of MID EARTH, with the Bloke's
infectious warrior taking the title after defeating Visionist's underachiever in a
popular 1 minute expert's Title match. All Hail POISON IVY!
In team news, newcomer BUFFALO TRACE '25 with a 3-2-1 result jumped from 3rd to 1st.
Well done! Holding onto the 2nd spot is Visionist and his MID EARTH crew after a 2-3-0
showing. Dropping to 3rd from 1st, despite their undefeated record over the last 3
rounds, the Bloke and his AVOID ME! advocators recorded a 2-0-0. Special recognition
goes to Coming up with a DARKATHIAS' DEMONS, who advanced 7 places in the rankings
after a 4-1-0 outing. Well done. The Team on the Move this week is BUFFALO TRACE '25,
who gained an impressive 49 points of recognition. The Most Avoided Team is AVOID ME!,
who received 11 avoids.
Other individual achievements...
The Biggest Winner is ENTITLED CITIZEN, who gained 17 points after mashing BRINE
SUSPECT like a melon.
The Biggest Loser is ERRATIC EDUCATOR lost 12 points after a disappointing bout with
BATTERSCOTCH.
Well, after checking my notes I could not find a fight worthy of my "Fight of the
Week", but I will not end this report on a bad note. I was just informed by the
commission that we have Lord Protector number 20 for the year. Jorja's RED MARE of
