DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings fellow Lapurians, I am Dirmael leader of the Mid Earth guild. Beleg has
been enjoying the fruits of his success a little too much lately and is unable to
submit a column at this time. First off I would like to commend Connie and Solar
Flare on their recent attempts at supplanting our current Duelmaster. You are both
excellent warriors and are deserving of being Duelmaster in the future. With Beleg
receiving his invite to the Isle a new Duelmaster will be crowned next turn, whoever
takes over I wish them the best of luck.
Here is the info from Beleg's invite. 15-9-7-17-9-12-15. Surprisingly he never
fought in a tourney and learned 53 skills in 25 fights. His known skill bases are
ATT=8-DEC=13-DEF=10-INT=11-RIP=12. As for his favorites, he favors the Longsword
(which he never tried) and a Low/Low rhythm. His favorite learn is Attack and
strangely enough he has a favorite tactic of Bash.
Hmmmm I didn't know a Longsword could bash. -- Dirmael
SPY REPORT
Greetings, warriors of LAPUR! Once again I've been called out of retirement for
my abilities and insights into Spyreporting. Woof! MID EARTH were a bunch of dogs
after STREET WALKERS got through with 'em! 4th ain't so sweet as 1st! Hmmmph! I
always thought WILL DUEL 4 MEAD was an over-rated team and they proved it with a
0-0-0! Up 'n down. Up 'n down. Rankings always change. Up 'n down. I think I'm
gonna be... Well, STREET WALKERS' 1st moved them up to 3-2-0 place. What's with
GOLDIE? She actually beat CROC FILES' AMIE, and walked away with 19 more points from
the fight. Laughs were big at STREET WALKERS while they watched GOLDIE clobber AMIE.
She lost 16 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. STREET
WALKERS' hatred of MID EARTH surfaced again as BRICKHOUSE Bloodfeuded LAPUR's top
dog. Try as she might, BRICKHOUSE wasn't good enough at persuading BELEG to step
down from the Duelmaster's throne... I suppose you want to hear some rumors and
dirty gossip about your fellow fighters? Tough!
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. The
most avoided team was WILL DUEL 4 MEAD. The bums at STREET WALKERS couldn't face the
challenges from WILL DUEL 4 MEAD! No excuse for that! How well I know the feeling
of being the most challenged warrior, GALLIENUS! Don't make idle boasts, they may
come back to haunt you. Keep challenging up 27 points, WENDY DAY, and I won't have
to write about you much longer. SPARKLE FARKLE always accepts those kind of
challenges... As I expected, SPARKLE FARKLE won WENDY DAY. Not to start anything,
but, WENDY DAY, now that you've faced her and seen hers style, you might try it
again! I hate going to the effort of writing about the kind of fights that MORRIGAN
gets in. She fights people like GALLIENUS, 10 points below. I thought MORRIGAN
showed great skill and promise when she was defeated by GALLIENUS. All right, so I
slept through it! Big deal!
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? MENTU of GODS OF WAR didn't know when to quit. When you've
got a 9-11-2, that's a good sign. Now he's dead. STREET WALKERS' boys should be
laying low. Now that STREET WALKERS' manager has gone and let BELEG kill MISS
CONDUCT II unchallenged, STREET WALKERS' fighters are fair game. Is it my
imagination, or are fighters getting younger every day? To die so young, so
gloriously!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? Are
you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm writing it
before you read it. Oh, well. Time for my medication, so I'll leave now. Practice,
