DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings my fellow warriors. Before I begin my one and only column, I would like to
say congratulations to Beleg, Connie and Whirlwind. Your absence from this arena
will surely be felt. Now, If I may get down to business. Zero Visibility. It was a
valiant effort on your part, but today was not your day. I truly believe that one
day you will be writing your own Duelmaster column. To my fallen brother, Mentu. I
will miss you. I have asked Sovereign to let me avenge you, but he has told me that
I will be defending the title and not seeking revenge. I will leave that to my
sister, Morrigan. My title defense will be against Your Mama or Gallienus. They are
the two highest ranked that are not leaving. Good luck to whomever I face.
Now I guess I can give my vitals since I will be retiring after my next fight. My
stats are 9(+1)-12-11-17(+1)-15-11-11. Ad experts in initiative, decise and attack.
My favorite weapon is the battle axe. Favored Slash and response and favorite learn
is defense. Now the reason for the retirement. Very low OE and low AL. Not great
for a striker. I may one day fight again but as of right now, I will be enjoying my
time off. I wish everyone the best in the future.

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of LAPUR! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team STREET WALKERS was
unseated this week as EQUESTORS moved up from 3rd ranking to take the top spot with a
3-1-0 record for the round. There were bitter words at FORCE OF NATURE's guildhouse
after a 1-4-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into 14th. Dark Arena
anyone? Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner! Witness how
this week CARDOW HUNTERS went 3-2-0 to move up 6 in the rankings. Did only my eyes
note the 4-1-0 record which GODS OF WAR managed to post this round? I don't doubt
that such a record will draw challengers! SPARKLE FARKLE caught the eye of many in
the gladiatorial commission as she skillfully bested ELDACAR and was awarded 26
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, SPARKLE FARKLE put
down ELDACAR, causing him to lose 20 points of recognition in the process. Not for
nothing has AGASAYA in the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this week
she's proven hers combat skill yet again. Would you believe that over half of the
old women in LAPUR seem to feel that they could fight better than you gladiators?
Many and various are the arts of battle. In LAPUR "art" is a word that has long
since passed from the language! Loose talk at the arena has reached my ears and it
but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after S'TOU. Watch your back! A
match that raised a few eyebrows at the games this week, it seems that KYOKO posted a
challenge against the more highly recognized WHIRLWIND. The results, you ask? Well,
the firebrand KYOKO won victory over WHIRLWIND. Remember warriors, this is the
discipline of steel. I can not but mention with disdain the name of YOUR MAMA who
this week posted a challenge to a warrior a full 8 points below in the rankings. I
thought YOUR MAMA showed great skill and promise when she won victory over CONNIE.
All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Look no more for ATIMA in the arena or on the
streets of LAPUR. His fate was sealed in the Dark Arena. Inevitable for one at
5-6-1. This week marked the last days of BARUL who at 5-6-0 was dispatched to the
Dark Arena by the command of MID EARTH's demanding management. My hearty
congratulations MORRIGAN, for thy revenge upon WEIPA, slayer of thy fallen comrade.
Next time he will know better, eh? Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears
arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed a
stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!

And sorry for missing this past turn. I just had other things that took priority
that week, and I just said the hell it with...that and the fact Atima somehow
weaseled his way out of the Dark Arena the turn before didn't help. So apologies
aside, I'm playing catch up with some of you again here. First let me give my
congrats (some past due) to our recent graduates, Ladybug, Marius, Solar Flare, &
Beleg. Hats off to ya and hopefully you'll run into one of my rejects in the near
future. To the ones that will be leaving after what is it this turn? Agasaya,
Connie, and Whirlwind, my mug of Froth & Slosh Slurpie raised to you as well. If any
of you stop by the tavern even though we're remodeling, the first round is on me.
Whirlwind, you can drink for free for life since I know how much Storm Front wanted

I have not been receiving my physical turns in a reliable manner lately. If there
are diplos with the turns that go missing, they're gone for good. So if you send me
a diplo and do not see an acknowledgement of receipt in the personals, know that I

ENTRY
Entry into the Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse is easy:
*Find a Partner
*Declare your intentions in the Stormcrowe newsletter to enter before the first turn
of the contest. You may also email or diplo Master Darque.
*Each manager entering the Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse must submit one (1) Team Roll-Up
Certificate. Only certificates will be accepted for entry. All certificates
submitted will be used during the course of the contest as prizes.
PRIZES
*ENDURANCE AWARD: One (1) +1 Bonus Potion will be given to every team that competes
in 60 of the 65 contest fights.
*KILL MASTER AWARD: The individual manager with the most kills will receive a
Limited Immortality Potion. This potion may be applied to one (1) warrior. He/she
will be resurrected ONE-TIME if they are killed in Basic D2.
*TOP TEAM AWARD: Each manager on the winning team will receive the following prize
pack for their Slaughterhouse Dominance:
*One (1) +1 Bonus Potion
*Favorites Knowledge for one (1) Warrior
*Undisclosed amount of Team RU Certificates
Special note from RSI on prizes: All contest prizes must be used within three
months. All contest prizes may only be used on a living warrior on the participating
contest team in DM 45. The immortality potion may resurrect a warrior one time,
after a death in DM 45 only, after which time the potion disappears.
TIE-BREAKERS
In the unlikely event of a tie, pre-contest established tie-breakers will be
consulted to determine a winner. The tie-breaking criteria are known to the
Moderator and RSI. They will not be made public knowledge to avoid any exploitation.

Master Darque will be serving as Master of Ceremonies for the Slaughterhouse II. As
such, all his decisions are final. Any rules inquiries should be directed to him.
