Favorite Warrior -- TY FOON -- Sorry Sporkis, but he did kill Tessa, something I wanted to do. Most Disliked Warrior -- TY FOON -- Sorry Storm Front, but he killed Tessa, something I wanted to do. Favorite Manager or Team -- MID EARTH -- Every Street Walker knows they will have their hands full when they face a warrior from that stable. Most Disliked Manager or Team -- STREET WALKERS -- I gotta vote for someone, might as well be my own team since EVERY team in this arena is an asset and I like them all. Most Feared Team -- WILL DUEL 4 MEAD -- I rarely avoid anyone, and don't really "fear" any team, Will Duel 4 Mead does hold a good record against us. Least Feared Team -- BLACK WHINE 'N CRY -- A 18FE slasher down challeges to a 4FE aimed blow and almost gets carried out in a body bag, yeah that'll get me shaking in my boots. Best or Funniest Team Name or Theme -- WILL DUEL 4 MEAD -- While I don't see a link between his warriors name to the team theme, it's obvious that someone (I'm not mentioning any names...Sporkis) likes to do a keg stand when he writes his personals. Best or Funniest Warrior Name -- SPARKLE FARKLE -- Easy choice here. Greatest Contributor to the Dead List -- CARDOW HUNTERS -- If any team deserves to get a godling recruit, it's the Cardow Hunters after the losses suffered this year. Best Personals Writer -- SPORKIS -- I have know idea what he's smoking but I wants some. Best Spotlight Writer -- UNCLE WOLF -- Excellent! Nothing more needs to be said. Style Awards: AB -- TESSA -- Should win this one in a landslide vote. BA -- MORRIGAN -- Very impressive. PL -- VON GROV -- Thin field in this style this year, but his record was the best. PR -- None -- I can't recall even fighting a ripper. PS -- S'TOU -- Another landslide winner in my opinion LU -- SPARKLE FARKLE -- Edges out a couple of other fine lungers. SL -- BUZZSAW -- One of the best slashers to come through Lapur in a long time. ST -- BELEG -- Tough one to call, but just edges out Agasaya. TP -- MENSA -- The only TP that actually tries to hit back. WS -- LADYBUG -- Another tough choice, since there were many good Wastes. Marcus Award -- REWRITE -- I can't understand a word he says and I'm tired of getting head aches trying to figure it out. Bonnie Award -- TESSA -- I know voting for a dead warrior isn't really fair to those who actually made to AD, but IMHOETKORC (in my humble opinion even though know one really cares) she would have had great success in AD. + ]H[ + ---:--- + ]H[ Edge of Night #5 ]H[ + ---:--- + ]H[ + Somewhere congruent with southern Alastari: "Why have you come here, motral?" The voice emerged from darkness and cold wind, and it seemed to echo out of a deep cave. At the same time, so far as time had a meaning here, a form condensed in front of Uncle Wolf. Black and without visible details, with eyes as white as the full moon and white antlers gleaming in the light of a moon that did not shine here. Where another kind of being would move in the aura of its own warmth and scent, this one exuded awe and dread. Though he had never met this Great One personally before, Wolf knew who it was. He bowed low. "I have been called and sent," he said. "I go where I am commanded." Amusement. "That must be a first for you." "Perhaps. I do not recall." He closed his mouth and waited. To be the first to speak of his mission here would be taken as a weakness. It would be a weakness, the mortal flaw of impatience. More amusement. Not something so ordinary as a laugh, but a scent of response that in a human would be laughter. Amusement passed. "You have been invoked to deal with the Soul-Stealer," the Horned Hunter said. "That Word has come to Us," it added ambiguously. "We have thought to Hunt this rash mortal Ourselves." "If You unleashed your full power on Alastari at this time, You might unmake it." "True. What of that? For all within the Mortal Lands, every beginning comes at last to an ending. It may be that now is the ending for Alastari." "And it may not be so. One said to me once that endings should not be hastened but allowed to arrive in their own times. And also that the ending of something so large and deep-rooted as Alastari is... complicated. Not for one such as myself to trifle with." Wolf squinted at the dark shape and decided that nothing but the most brutal honesty would serve him here. "It is not for one such as You to trifle here, either." Anger, insulted dignity. Amusement again. "Truth." A silence that seemed long. "So be it. The Night Riders shall aid you, they shall even follow your directions, within reason. We shall send Words to them, making it so." Wolf deemed it prudent to bow again, and to keep silent. He did not fancy working with the Night Riders, but they were "better" than the Great Hunt. And they would be well able to sniff out necromancers wherever such might hide. He saw now that it was to secure this aid that he had been sent to the Horned Hunter. Which he had now done, and more easily than expected. He wanted to leave, to return to the Mortal World and get on with it, but he dared not until the Hunter gave permission. "We are minded to... ask a boon in return," the Hunter said. Light from an invisible moon glinted on its horns as the great head turned to look off to the side. Wolf felt that his skin tightened all over with alertness and... yes, fear, too. "Ask, though little is within my power compared to yours." "We stand very near to the border between Matter and Spirit," the Hunter said, "as do you. But on opposite sides. The circumstances which permit Us to reach across that border are not common, they do not pertain at this time. But We can reach you." A hand materialized between the two of them, with a square of fluttering cloth laid across its palm and a silver arm-ring lying on the cloth. "Take this to the Silent Place near the Ancient City, that which mortals now call Zuwayza, and give it into the keeping of One you will find there. That One will then release the Night Riders to your commands." Wolf would sooner have touched a scorpion than that arm-ring, but there seemed to be no alternative here. He forced his unwilling hands to reach out and grip the corners of the cloth, lifting the ring without touching it. "I shall do this if I can," he said. + ]H[ + ---:--- + ]H[ Edge of Night #6 ]H[ + ---:--- + ]H[ + Between Lapur and Dullens: The Croc Annie pulled her cloak more tighting around her body, shivering even though she didn't feel the cold here. Wherever here was. Well, near Lapur, more or less. But the bubble of realtive warmth that Red Lily had made for her-- She shivered again. Not at the cold, but at the idea of a ghost. A human ghost. What had she to do with a ghost? She brushed that thought aside for now, there was nothing she could do if Red Lily was determined to haunt her. This still LOOKED like the area near Lapur. But in some way Lily had suspended one of the natural laws in order to keep her, Annie, warm enough to live. And if one natural law could be suspended, what about the rest? This might be somewhere else entirely that just LOOKED like the hills near Lapur. She just wished Lily would get on with it, whatever "it" was. There was a swirl in the falling snow just beyond the bubble of warmth that enclosed the Croc. Snow blew through it without dissolving the misty suggestion of shape. *I have been seeking directions* Lily said. *I know now what we need to do. At least, I know what we need to do first....* Annie's grip tightened on the edge of her cloak. "Is this going to take a long time?" *I don't know* the ghost said. *Time is different for me now. I thought I had been hours finding out what to do, but it was only minutes?* "And a good thing, too! I could freeze to death out here, you know. Let's get started." *Yes, we should not delay.* The swirl of snow and moonbeam radiance shifted, extending an "arm" to point to the north. *That way. To Dullens.* "At night, in the winter, Dullens is a long way," the Croc said. *I think... maybe it won't be, tonight.* Annie didn't know what forces were at work, but something strange was happening. She felt that she was striding forward, but the ground outside her bubble of snow- free warmth was blurring past as though she was running or even flying. It was unnerving to watch, and after a while she didn't look, just kept her eyes straight ahead in case there was some obstacle in her path. There never was, but she didn't care to chance it anyway. Tripping, at this speed-- The Croc stumbled, staggered, and came to a stop. The landscape outside the bubble was still reeling, but it settled to a stop, also. They couldn't be at Dullens already, so what was going on? She squinted into the snow-shot darkness. Where was Red Lily? No one part of the swirling snow seemed thicker and more human- shaped than another. And... was the air around her less warm? It was Lily who was keeping her, Annie, alive with the warmth. If something happened to the ghost, then the Croc would die, too. Laughter out of the darkness. The kind of laugh she had heard before, in the corridors of the arena and elsewhere, not amusement but gloating victory. And it was definitely getting colder, the protection of the bubble around her crumbling and letting in the wind and snow. + ]H[ + ---:--- + ]H[ Edge of Night #7 ]H[ + ---:--- + ]H[ + Between Lapur and Dullens: The Croc, Annie, huddled in on herself, not that it would do any good. She didn't have body warmth to conserve. But it seemed the only gesture she could make. The ghost of Red Lily was gone, where or how... who could know? It was a ghost, not a human to leave tracks. And it was Lily who had brought her this far, kept her alive this long. All that was left for her, Annie, to do was to die. She didn't want to die. Time passed. She didn't know how much. It was still dark, still snowing. But she wasn't as cold--she FELT cold, but she hadn't before, she hadn't felt anything. People had told her that was what freezing to death was like. If she could feel the cold, she must be alive, then. She opened her eyes. Fire. Beautiful fire, and she was lying as close to it as she could get without becoming roasted lizard. Other shapes--people shapes--were moving on the far side of the fire. Solid people shapes, she thought. Not the ghost of Red Lily. She stirred and tried to sit up. Someone came around the fire and helped her. A mammal, the hands were warm. A bowl appeared in front of her, steam rising from it, and she could smell meat. Soup or stew. Hot. What she needed. She drank it and sighed. "Good." "What were you doing out here without proper gear?" a human voice demanded. "You could have died!" It was, perhaps, the effect of nearly freezing to death that led her to answer, "Then I'd have been a ghost, too." And she giggled. Another human voice, swearing. Some language Annie didn't understand. Rirorni, maybe. No, it didn't sound Rirorni, she'd heard that. One of the northern tongues. A Harkenic dialect, maybe. Not that it mattered all that much. She giggled again and flopped one hand limply. "You didn't put brandy in that soup, did you, Math?" That was the first voice and seemed to be coming from the man who was holding her in a sitting position. "Certainly not! That would be foolish." The second voice, presumably 'Math'. "An after effect of nearly freezing to death." "She needs to sleep, then she will be alright again." Finally, a voice she recognized. Agro, a senior Croc. "To be sure she does," Math said, "and so she shall. But we must know about the ghost, and there is can be no delay." "Why not?" Agro asked. "Any ghost is already dead--" A moment of silence. A sigh. "It is not so simple." Math again. "I don't know how it is with you Corcs, but for a human, there are, in effect, two deaths. The first death is the death of the body. What remains then is a ghost. It is at this point that the mages on the Isle intervene, trapping the ghost of an Advanced gladiator between death and rebirth and forcing the soul back into the first body. Resurrection. But for a true and complete death, leading to reincarnation or whatever other fate might be appropriate, the ghost must die a second death." A pause. "This is not exact or even terribly accurate, but it is as close as words can go. In the second death, the soul sheds the ectoplasmic body that forms the visible ghost. Various other things occur, too, but they are all encompassed by the 'second death' which usually follows the first one by... no more than a week and often much less. This ghost of which Annie speaks--" "She had a shape," the young Croc said. "Foggy. But a shape." "Between the first and second death, then. So if this ghost--" "Lily. Died in the arena. Called me." "Just so. If Lily had some firm purpose, which is what it sounds like, she would not have passed on to the second death until she had fulfilled it. So her disappearance may be due to some darker force." "She was already dead," Agro repeated. "What could harm her? It isn't like some mage was going to resurrect her, out here in the middle of a winter night." "True, she was unlikely to have been intended for resurrection, although I have heard... rumors that some necromancers trap such souls in transition and force them into golems. A bad fate, but even yet, not the worst." Another sigh. "Some necromancers practice an even darker art," Math said. "There are Things which feed on ghosts, on souls in transition, and these Things have been known to form pacts with necromancers. Even, some fools of black mages may think they actually command such Things. And a soul which has been eaten by a Thing is lost utterly, denied both resurrection and rebirth." "I still don't see how it's Croc business, Math, Redfox. We aren't human. Why should we care?" "Have your people no souls, then?" That was the one holding her up, Annie decided, probably the one called 'Redfox'. "You yourself told me how your teammate Bindi was born over and over again until she graduated and reached the Isle. That sounds like resurrection and a soul, to me. And if this soul-eating can happen to a human, why not to a Croc, as well?" * }%|[-----+O+-----]|%{ * }%|[-----+O+-----]|%{ * }%|[-----+O+-----]|%{ * ---===FREE BLADES REGIONAL NEWS===--- Duelmasters ----------- DM 9 ZUKAL (turn 585): NOSFERATU of DARK WARDS (Dr. Doom, mgr.) Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to give you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. MID EARTH? Who? WILL DUEL 4 MEAD is the top team these days, buddies! TRAIL OF TEARS after a sorry 0-0-0 might want to consider abandoning the sands and taking up singing the 'Can't fight no more' blues! What's a move up by 7 you ask? (alright, maybe you didn't ask) Cause for celebration, according to BLACK TIDE. Say what you will about blind luck and dirty fighting, but WILL DUEL 4 MEAD will tell you 85-71-14 is nothing to laugh at... CARDOW HUNTERS had cause to celebrate, after FIREFLY got 32 points by beating CHROME CRIMPER. Win some, lose some. Speaking of which, FIREFLY was winsome, after beating CHROME CRIMPER and seeing him lose 27 points. A certain someone saw ELVIRA MADIGAN at The Warty Toad with the shakes, and now she fails to show up to defend hers throne. What a pathetic slob! What can be a greater victory? MURRY has taken his place as the top, as LAPUR's new Duelmaster. Word has it one team in LAPUR is taking speech lessons to try to bore their opponent to death. I'll bet it works. A Zenmaster once told me, 'Does not the spinning wheel turn? And do not the little birds cry out?' Any ideas? To quell some nasty rumors, the guys in FORLORN are not carrying any incurable diseases. No need to avoid 'em. The warriors of FORLORN found their efforts at combat frustrated as CROC FILES apparently had more important things to do than fight. If challenges were horses, CLOUD TIGER could open up a fast food joint! Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! You've heard about RAGE WATERS of FORCE OF NATURE. Death plays no favorites, and neither do I. What was a 4-9-0 doing on the fields in the first place? Justice was served as URD fought UGHH in bloodfeud. Well done, WILL DUEL 4 MEAD! Ask not for whom the sword slashes; it slashes for thee. Leave me now, you base fools! More important duties call me. Like a mixed metaphor, and an overtaxed simile, I now bid LAPUR farewell-- Novgorodny Vir DUELMASTER W L K POINTS TEAM NAME MURRY 4755 12 16 2 123 CROC FILES (374) CHALLENGER CHAMPIONS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME -ELVIRA MADIGAN 3366 13 7 1 140 TRAIL OF TEARS (229) ARONWE 4883 15 10 0 106 MID EARTH (223) FIREFLY 4950 12 3 1 100 CARDOW HUNTERS (359) BRICKHOUSE 4131 28 10 0 96 STREET WALKERS (97) -ALUMINUM AWL 4238 10 7 1 92 METAL MINCERS (256) JURASSIC JORDON 5008 10 1 1 92 STREET WALKERS (97) ZERO VISABILITY 4495 21 28 0 91 FORCE OF NATURE (312) CHALLENGER CHAMPIONS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME MENSA 4442 18 36 1 91 VENUSIANS (321) CHAMPIONS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME -JASON 2985 16 16 1 89 ARMY OF DARKNESS (283) AMIE 4718 15 26 2 89 CROC FILES (374) -MIDNIGHT RUIN 4959 13 7 1 89 ABYSSAL PLAINS (432) JON 4764 19 17 2 85 MEN (356) REWRITE 2926 19 13 1 83 WILL DUEL 4 MEAD (282) URD 4987 11 2 3 83 WILL DUEL 4 MEAD (282) CHROME CRIMPER 4296 18 9 0 76 METAL MINCERS (256) -PETUNIA 4837 15 12 0 75 ESCAPADE (417) URAT 4889 18 6 1 70 MID EARTH (223) CHALLENGER ADEPTS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME -DAEMON 4953 6 3 0 65 ABYSSAL PLAINS (432) HULIK 4992 7 6 1 62 MID EARTH (223) -VON GROV 3337 12 11 0 61 TRAIL OF TEARS (229) -PLATINUM PEENER 4298 9 7 1 61 METAL MINCERS (256) WEIPA 4793 10 15 2 60 CROC FILES (374) MOSSMAN 5045 5 2 1 59 CROC FILES (374) SOLAR ERUPTION 5031 8 2 2 57 VENUSIANS (321) ADEPTS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME MAD DOG MONTANA 4984 9 4 4 51 STREET WALKERS (97) LONGINUS 4908 10 12 0 50 EQUESTORS (158) -TURTLE 4974 9 4 1 50 ESCAPADE (417) -NEOPOLITAN 4944 7 5 1 47 SWEETNESS (431) INCONEL INDENTER 4324 6 2 1 47 METAL MINCERS (256) CELADUS 4948 9 6 1 46 EQUESTORS (158) LUCY 4922 8 10 1 42 CROC FILES (374) -PHOENIX RISING 4960 9 10 1 39 ABYSSAL PLAINS (432) -FORTE 4447 7 13 1 36 FORLORN (382) LYSIAS 4947 8 7 0 35 EQUESTORS (158) -FOREDOOM 4448 7 13 0 34 FORLORN (382) CHALLENGER INITIATES W L K POINTS TEAM NAME LITERNIUS 5049 5 3 1 33 EQUESTORS (158) -GUAT 5017 5 3 0 33 DEATH MOB (437) -SALAMANDER 4165 3 2 0 33 TRAIL OF TEARS (229) -FRENCH SILK 4942 5 7 1 32 SWEETNESS (431) MIU 5060 4 1 1 31 WILL DUEL 4 MEAD (282) -PETRIFIED SPONGE 5023 4 3 0 31 ARMY OF DARKNESS (283) -CRAGS 5087 3 0 0 31 DEATH MOB (437) CALLISTO 5036 4 5 0 30 VENUSIANS (321) -TORI 5048 2 3 0 26 DEATH MOB (437) POISON PEN 5069 6 2 0 24 BLACK TIDE (440) -ROCKY ROAD 4941 6 6 0 24 SWEETNESS (431) SONNY DAZE 5035 3 6 2 24 FORCE OF NATURE (312) INITIATES W L K POINTS TEAM NAME A.A. What we will say is that the resurgence of Lapur is great to see and the personals and spots are terrific. It is wonderful to see true old-style DM alive and well. A well-done to ALL OF YOU. -- Ora and that old codger Oremaster Elvira Madigan -- You may have left a trail of tears, but you are the champion and Duelmaster of Lapur and all Metal Mincers salute you. -- Ora Champeen Elvira! Aye. Lookin good. -- Oremaster Now, now, Oremaster. Your eyes are popping out of your head! You are embarrassing us both! -- Ora Kyoko and Will Duel's -- No problemo about the bloodfeud. Completely understood. All is well. -- The Metal Mincers Sparkle Farkle -- Loved the outfit. Really, really, really liked the win! -- Chrome Crimper Jurassic Jordan -- You put it to me right and fair. Us Mincers always seem to have difficulty winning against Street Walkers. For that you have our great respect. (But we hate you for it! Chuckle.) -- Platinum Peener and the other golems These ads come to you from The Face in Tempe. We hope all here do well. -- Ora and The Old Guy Kyoko, Sparkle Farkle, Eldacar, Buzzsaw -- Congrats to all of you and good luck on the Isle. -- Roadkill and the Street Walkers Celadus -- When I said I wanted to be carried out of the arena on the crowd's shoulders, I meant in victory, not on a stretcher. -- Mad Dog Montana Poison Pen -- Yeah, I suck, I know. -- Honey Mooner Petunia -- If it wasn't for the broken weapon I think we both know the outcome of that fight would have been different. -- Brickhouse Singing Waters -- Tra-la-la-la-la! -- Daisy Chains Platinum Peener -- Psst..wait until I get my 12th win, then I'll die. -- Jurassic Jordan Visionist -- I admit Goldie was blood thirsty, but that's not the case for the rest of the team. While I don't challenge much, I do use the "if challenged" strategy often, and I also admit that my kill desire does increase from 5 or 6 to 7 or 8 in those situations. Just my way of saying "challengers beware" -- Roadkill Urd -- Urk. You'd think, since you have so much more experience than I do, that I'd learn more from you. Wouldn't you? Oh, well. -- Cloud Tiger Weipa -- Darned lizard! The cold's getting to you, isn't it? I can tell. That leaden step, the aimless stumble. You're feeling colder and moving slower and it'll soon be all over till spring.... -- Firefly Raw -- Huh, they tell me that's the way you Rirorni like your food. But people will say anything. After all, though the Commission doesn't recognize it, *I* am Rirorni, also, and I know darned well it isn't true. At least, not for ALL Rirorni. I like it crispy, myself. Too much chance of picking up parasites when you eat it raw. -- Boar Tusk Bookaboutbirds -- Shierah! You're perfectly right! Definitely tears. (sigh) It's the frustration, you know. I've been trying to add an ivory-billed sapsucker to my life list for YEARS, and I just can't find one. (heavier sigh) They're supposed to be really good stuffed with wild rice and hickory nuts. My mouth waters just thinking of the little devils. -- Red Bull Daisy Chains -- At THIS time of year? Not a chance, sister. -- Singing Water Funniest team name? I'm not seeing where you're coming from. They're hunters from Cardow, which is east of here along the southern edge of the forest. Over near Carloi, I think. But what else would they be called? -- Jorja P.S. The contributions to the dead list here are nothing compared to our team in Jurine: Five dead in five turns. I shut 'em down, it was too depressing. Besides, I couldn't get recruits. The Saint keeper of the lists -- Please note that the Visionist is the official Owner and Manager of the Mid Earth guild. He has entrusted me to watch over the day to day operations of the guild. Many thanks for keeping the lists. -- Dirmael Mid Earth Guild Leader and retired Lapurian Lord Protector I've changed my list. Thanks for letting me know! -- The Saint, keeper of lists Lapurian Awards Voting Clarification -- The object of the awards is to be selected by your peers for an award, but there is no rule against voting for yourself, your own team or warrior. So when voting think of the other Teams/Managers/Warriors in Lapur first, but if you feel that your team, one of your warriors or yourself is the best choice in that category then feel free so vote. Also just to clarify. the "Greatest Contributor to the Dead List" award is for any Warrior or Team that helped add to the dead list by killing or having had their members get killed. -- Visionist All -- Eldacar, the Mid Earth guilds 1st Bashing Lord Protector. His numbers 13-11- 10-17(2)-17-13-5. Favorites are Maul, High/Low and Decise skills. He learned a total of 61 skills attaining Ad Ex Attack and Decise, Expert in Init. He fought much of his early career wearing scale or plate armor, but after a rough stretching going 1-6 he dropped the armor and finished off with 6 straight wins. He has informed me that he will be retiring from the arena. -- Dirmael 15 January 2008 Order of Lost Souls Where there is a beginning, there is an end. Where there is a whole, there is a part. Where there is light, there is dark. All these are found to be true and along with the most important, when something is lost it can always be found. Many a person has walked this land in one form or another. Some truly believe that here is there and there is here but who really knows? Among the peoples of this great land many have felt lost in time and in place. Some have gone as far as to be lost of soul.... Although most are thought to have been born into this world in a mortal way, no one can be sure. Life is something they have in a way but a torturous joke to them in all others. They live in a sense as they are here and now and having mind and knowledge. They are flesh and blood of one sort of another. They cast a shadow as all things living do. Blood courses through their veins. These beings have become wraiths drifting here and there, knowing that they truly belong nowhere. Searching for that one thing that they seem to be missing or the one thing in them that puts them beyond others. These people have become masters of many things as time seems to have no hold. For not even time can find those that are truly lost. Many of these beings have drifted toward the gladiatorial games. In the blood and chaos of the arenas something holds them like no other. It's the loss of something they have never had or something they had so long ago it seems to have never been. LIFE. A few of the more shall we say "human" of these beings have settled into many arenas around the land. The loss of life and the crazed emotions of the arenas giving them glimpses of things they longed for but seemed incapable of attaining. A number of these lost ones saw in each other something that might be able to help the other. They spent many a day traveling to and fro, for what is time to one who it doesn't touch. The more time they spent together the more they seemed to change. No one noticed the change in the others but each recognized it in himself. Years passed and the changes stopped. Each had been changed in different ways but all felt more whole. A discussion ensued between them. They came to a realization that in each other they had found parts of themselves that had been missing. Then came the next thought. If they could find more of like minded lost ones they might eventually find what they always wanted, their true selves. The group settled down to think things through. They finally came up with an idea they all could accept. They would form an organization that through their arenas through out the land they would seek out other lost ones. If they were of like mind they would be invited to join the group and seek that special something they all desired. This was how it began and how it still is. The Order of Lost Souls was formed and the search began. The original members numbered six. They were Baphomet, Blackstorm, Hammer, JGW, Reaper and Wretch. These members of the Order spread their gladiator stables through out the realm seeking others like them. Through blood and death they lived through others. One day hoping to live for themselves. For as they all know what is lost must eventually be found.... 28 January 2008 CALLING ALL THUGS, BRUTES, OGRES, QUARTER HALF WITS, SHALLOW HALBERD ENTHUSIASTS AND MAUL RATS: Since the Bashing style has often been maligned in the forums, it is time to give the style a little tough love with the following concept: An ALL-BASHER arena. The rules are simple--enter the arena as a rookie basher. That's it. RSI said I need to get 20 managers on board and I'm about half way there.
