Annual Lapurian Awards Votes from the Street Walkers Guild
Best Duelmaster -- Very tough to pick one but our vote goes to LUNA of Will Duel for
Mead.
Worst Duelmaster -- LITERNIUS, but only because of his record.
Favorite Team -- CLAN CROW. Good spotlights, personal ads, and fighters. But mostly
because they aren't afraid to take a pot shot and others, which most make us
laugh, even when they're directed at us.
Most Disliked Team -- METAL MINCERS. We don't know who we have to bribe to get a
challenge through, but it obviously not the 132 officials we tried.
Most Avoided Team -- WILL DUEL 4 MEAD. While they were here, we made a little "cease
fire" until his ABs graduated. (Roadkill is getting soft in his old age!)
Most Challenged Team -- METAL MINCERS. Not that it did us any good.
Best Team Name -- TREKKERS. Damn it, Jim, I'm a doctor not a gladiator.
Worst Team Name -- PLATES. Only because if they aren't easy, we're just not smart
enough to figure them out, and thinking really isn't our strong suit.
Best Warrior Name -- SMACK O'MALLEY. Love the name and lived up to it.
Worst Warrior Name -- BOOKABOUTBIRDS. We don't really care about birds, and hate
books.
Best Personals Writer -- ORA & OREMASTER. Hands down winner in our opinion.
Best Spotlight Writer -- PURPLE SAGE. Hopefully he'll return soon.
Marcus Award -- COLOSSUS. He seemed to really enjoy hitting Felicia like a golf
ball.
Ahringol's Apprentice Award -- MID EARTH. This was very tough to choose, but between
the team losses and the high number of warriors they planted they just edge out
Clan Crow.
Style Masters:
Aimed Blow -- LIME of Will Spoon 4 Mead. We were just glad to see the amount of
ABs graduate this year.
Basher -- ELVIRA MAGIDAN. Tough choice to make since there were many good (and
deadly) bashers to chose from.
Lunger -- FHRAIN. Honorable mention to Julianus.
Slasher -- SILVER SAW. Nasty, just plain nasty.
Striker -- NEEDS SALT. Extremely tough to pick one above the rest, when you
look at Red Hot Chili, Yuri, Salamander, and Red Bull just to name a few.
Parry Lunge -- CUDDLE ME TENDER. To bad he was lost in a tourney.
Parry Riposte -- RINDEL. It looks like now he's just starting to hit his
stride.
Parry Strike -- ICE SHARD. Pretty thin list to choose from, but that doesn't
dismiss his skill.
Total Parry -- MAKADOS. We faced him a couple times and were very impressed
with his skill and ability.
Wall Of Steel -- LUCKY EIREANN. I know we plan on avoiding him until he
graduates.
Bonnie Award -- FHRAIN of Mid Earth. Time will tell, but we believe his skill is
above the rest.

Best Duelmaster -- This was a close one between Luna and Daisy Chains, but the vote
goes to Daisy.
Worst Duelmaster -- There weren't really any bad Duelmasters, but Liternuis gets the
vote.
Favorite Manager or Team -- Even though he has been inactive for the past few months,
I have to vote for my old friend Purple Sage.
Most Disliked Manager or Team -- Can't of anyone who deserves a vote this year.
Most Avoided Team -- Close one between Street Walkers and Will Duel 4 Mead and

Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings, lads and lasses, friends and me be sure a few enemies, this is Owsly
here saying a few words for ye new reigning Duelmaster. Lucky decided she be wantin
me ta say a few words on her behalf since she (aye she be a "she," da council seem ta
be havin trouble with sexes these days) decided ta take da day off ta spend some time
clearin her head O' da death O' poor Jailyn, he was a good lad. So she be off with a
Street Walker ta make her feel better. Me had no idea she be both ways but it be
true. She be quite disappointed O'l Roadkill sent Palin to the DA as she be quite
fond O' her it turns oot. Now she be stuck with da Bimbo. Back ta da death of
Jailyn though, 3 times now the lass has laid ta rest one O' her foes and every time
it be messin with her head so O'l Owsly has ta step in ta appease da lot of ye with a
DM column. Lucky be a good lass and it not be in her nature to lay ta rest a man
unless O' course it be her bed. She did ask O'l Owsly ta take her earnins tanight ta
da Worty Toad an buy them Mid Earth stables O couple O rounds ta help take away da
pain. Now tell O'l Owsly a Duelmaster that would do that for someone! She also sent
roses ta the lad's grave which me tried ta tell her it be a bit overboard but she
insisted. If it be me, I'd be sitting a bottle of the Warty's best atop da stone, so
as da stable of Mid Earth can toast him every time for his fine abilites. But alas
it not be me choice. So she be leavin me a list O' things ta say so bear with me.

Ta Jailyn, may ye rest in peace and ta da rest O' ye candy arse.... Ummm... ya,
let's just skip that part. Like me said, death be messin with her head.
So, umm, O'l Owsly wants ta celebrate another Duelmaster from da Clan Crow so
whoever wants ta meet me at the Warty Toad just head on over and have O' pint with
me. We'll get drunk an crack jokes about how that old fart Oremaster keeps gettin
bullied by his other half. Ohh, did I say that out loud?!?! Time for Owsly ta get
ootta here!
SPY REPORT
Much has changed in LAPUR since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen adapts
to many situations, as do all successful fighters. Up 'n down. Up 'n down.
Rankings always change. Up 'n down. I think I'm gonna be... Well, STREET WALKERS'
7th moved them up to 2-0-1 place. Some people say I ramble too much, I don't say
anything relevant. I repeat myself. I ramble. Well CARDOW HUNTERS moved up 2, to
5th. What's with GAEGLIN? He actually beat ZODIAC's GEMINI, and walked away with 20
more points from the fight. Major screwup at ZODIAC. GEMINI lost 17 points to
GAEGLIN. Some new strategies, perhaps? Maybe GEMINI will provide more easy wins...
I'm sure LAPUR is excited about WHIP ME HOUSTON, the new Duelmaster from STREET
WALKERS. (remember?) But when you've seen as many as I have... I suppose you want
to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow fighters? Tough!
No matter the time or place, men will always duel. The most avoided team was
STREET WALKERS. In my day, no team with a 609-416-51 would scare me off! What's the
problem, METAL MINCERS? What do people see in GAEGLIN? His 10-6-0? MID EARTH ain't
talkin', but he's got 86 points.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. BLUIDDVL, with his forgettable 7-5-1, was killed
by BIMBO SLICE in a forgettable match. PLATES didn't seem to mind very much.
9DMPH's family knows what's wot, after seeing the response from PLATES! Many a
warrior has met his fate in a hungover stupor. You young rapscallions, take note!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? All
work and no play makes Olaf a dull fighter. Work and play no fighter dull Olaf.
