TEAM SPOTLIGHT
THE ADM REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
The next ADM Regional Tournament will be held in the months of October/November 2011
and will be contested in the regular arenas during the late Summer months.
Q: What is the ADM Regional Tournament?
A: The ADM Regional Tournament is a competition where the best and brightest warriors
from the ADM regionals compete for bragging rights and to see which region is the
best!
Q: How does it work?
A: During the month of October, the warriors of each Regional Team will be temporarily
moved to a special regional arena, where they will battle it out in a single
elimination tournament. The last warrior standing wins for his region. (Learns,
skills, and FE gained during the contest will not be permanent.)
Results will be posted online during the months of October/November.
Q: How are teams determined?
A: There are 10 warrior slots given out to each team. The 10 Stylemasters of each
regional arena during Saturday, October 15th will automatically qualify and be
selected.
To qualify for a Stylemaster position, you must have been active in the arena in 4
of the prior 6 turns including the last one (2 of the last 3 for Crysalis). (Thus,
you'll want to activate your warriors before the week of July 23rd, to be safe.)
Should a team not be able to qualify all 10 warriors, they may select wildcard
entrants to fill those empty slots. However, they must have at least 7 different
styles represented AND no more than 2 of any style. Should they not be able to
meet this criteria, their team will be filled with NPCs.
Each manager may only play for 1 region and may qualify no more than 3 warriors on
a regional team. They may play a 3rd warrior only if everyone else who wants to
participate already has 2 and/or there is no other option. A manager may not have
more than 1 warrior of the same style on the regional team.
Q: What's a Regional Coordinator?
A: The Regional Coordinator is the unofficial "team captain": They are in charge of
putting together their team based on the rules, trying to make sure everyone is
included and that any disputes are handled. (For instance, if someone qualifies
more than 2 warriors, the regional coordinator will work with that manager and
determine which warriors will participate on the team, and then notify
replacements, etc.)
The Regional Coordinators are: Manager (Andorak), Buri(Darkholm), The Dark One
(Free Blades), Crip (Crysalis), Master Darque (Unnamed No Tourney Arena), One Arm
Bandit (Home Guard). If you need to contact them, you can write a personal ad in
the ADM arena, or send a diplo to them at:

Q: What does happen if someone qualifies more than 2 warriors?
A: That manager will be able to decide which 2 to send (or, if there are no other
options, the manager may send 3--see above) and the next highest qualifying warrior
will be able to take place of the warrior that doesn't get sent if it's an
automatic spot. It's definitely a good idea to communicate with your team
coordinator and fellow teammates. Remember, even though you are fighting for
qualification spots, you all still want to put together a competitive team! (All
of the captains treat this as an inclusive event so it's unlikely anyone will
completely get left out in the cold.)
Q: What if my warriors are not in ADM regional? Or, what if they are in the wrong
ADM regional?
A: If your warriors are in 100, or are in the wrong region, and they haven't fought
since the split, you can request to CSR to have them moved into the proper
regional arena.
Q: Is there a prize?
A: Bragging rights!

Notes from the arena champ.
My Fellow Gladiators!
Once upon a time, I dared not dream of sitting hear even once, let alone holding
the lofty title of Duelmaster for weeks on end. Like many of you, I had some talent
with blades as a child and, again, as I suspect many of you do, I harbored dreams of
perhaps achieving immortality. Again, I dared not dream of this, and have fought
down thoughts of this, for fear of jinxing myself...
...but, Daemonspawn, having been apprised of my most recent victory and the
nature of that victory, has seen fit to divulge some secrets to me. Apparently, the
team owners and managers have long watched the training and nature of those warriors
who\'ve been selected to travel to the Isle of the Eye. Through sharing and
analyzing these observations, they have come to understand when most warriors will
receive their invitation, should they survive to that point. According to
Daemonspawn, I need only win one more bout, and I shall receive that invitation.
Immortality?! At long last...
In celebration of this invitation, Daemonspawn has told me that he will allow me
to attend the summer tournament as an immortal champion (that was the term he used).
First, though, I must win my very next fight, so he has told me that since two of the
current challenger champions share this stable with me, and since all but one of the
others have gone inactive pending the tourney, I am to challenge Jehlch.
Best of luck to those attending the tourney. May you represent Lapur well and
heap victory and honor upon our shining city!

SPY REPORT
If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
LAPUR brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. Later days, CLUBS 'N CLONES, since MID
EARTH took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. MID EARTH turned
their 4-1-0 turn into a 1st place rank in the listings this turn. Any better than
this, and you get put on hit lists. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see
PRIORE win a fight and gain 20 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, ULPHOR beat HARDWOOD and
HARDWOOD lost 16 points. You're breakin' my heart. GILEAN YASUR challenged JEHLCH
for LAPUR's Title this turn, and guess what happened? And it's out with the old, in
with the new, as JEHLCH takes the Title and last week's bar tab from the old
Duelmaster. Heh, heh. Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you
think some of these guys win their fights? Skill? Ha!
My mother always told me, 'If you don't have anything nice to say, start
talking.' I loved that woman. LAPUR, I am losing what little hope I had in you.
STREET WALKERS the most avoided team? What insult will suffice, I cannot say. And
it looks like MID EARTH avoided them the most this turn. What a pack of would be
losers, if you ask me. Hmph. SULU was challenged more times this turn than the
Duelmaster. Now was the DM insulted or feared? Heh, heh. Now here's guts and
stupidity all rolled into one, ARYLYN challenged up 32 to take on DR. STRANGELEAF of
BLUNT FORCE. And sure, ARYLYN lost alright, but gained 5 recognition for hers pains.
And pains they may indeed be!
Death and Taxes. The less death I see, the more it taxes my patience. Let's
see if anyone's dead or dying. Titanium shields and bamboo daggers, guess what brave
team is developing these kinds of weapons?
There's got to be a better place in LAPUR to get a drink than The Burning Tree!

Announcing!
The No-Tourney ADM arena will be opening for business on the
first of August of this year!
It will be ADM Arena #107, making use of that idle installation down at Lirin
Kiv. If the managers involved in this arena wish to rename it, suggestions will be
entertained through the months of August and September.
