Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings, fellow Lapurians!
I appreciate you all joining me here on this day of mixed emotions. Though I
did achieve one of my goals today in attaining the throne of our fine arena, I also
lost what I consider to be my closest friend when he was savagely slain by the cretin
Sinister Finn. Finn, the whole arena knows I could bloodfeud you and likely send you
to a similar fate of my good friend Cream, but at this point I have bigger fish to
fry. Instead, I'll let you sweat it out and wonder when the grim reaper will come
for you. I would love nothing more than to unleash broadsword attacks at your head
and hopefully before these four turns are up I will get my opportunity.
Unfortunately, another goal of mine was not reached recently and that was to
have the opportunity to TC in two different classes with my showing in the recent
tourney. Indeed, my 4-3 was a bitter pill to swallow. Nonetheless I will move
forward with my training here, and hopefully have another chance some day in one of
the advanced classifications provided I don't get sent to my grave by one of you
here. I will give free rein to the other warriors of our arena to challenge me for
the throne this turn. Spin McDuecan -- I especially hope you have the stones to come

Thankyouthankyou. It's great for me, The Unknown Spymaster to be back in LAPUR.
Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid! For every
winner there is a loser. Speaking of losers, lets take a look at METAL MINCERS, who
went down to 3rd from 9th. Life is tough. Coming up with a solid 2-0-0 outing,
DEVIATION has advanced 3 places in the rankings. Hey everybody, watch out for
CALYPSO, who flew up 16 points in the rankings after mashing PENNILESS LORD like a
melon. Keep your eye on this gal. Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on
the sands. SINISTER FINN was defeated by DEADMAU5 and drops 7 points. Drawing on
all of his experience as a 15-10-2 warrior, SPIN MCDUECAN went for the Duelmastership
against THE CLEAR this week. Our battling duelmaster THE CLEAR has managed to hold
the title, fending off SPIN MCDUECAN's none too subtle advances. Better luck next
time, CLAN CROW. 4 out of 5 gladiators surveyed protect the body, so try and avoid
aiming at that location.
Here is other news that is of note. Did you hear that THE TAKEN was most
avoided team this week? Well, knowing the personal hygiene of THE TAKEN's warriors,
I'm not surprised! For those of you who like math, try this one: THE TAKEN +
Weapons That go Boom = CLAN CROW + Avoid City. Well just about everybody wants a
piece of CHISAHARU, who was this week's most challenged warrior.
Remember that an arena is not always a safe place to be, but it is one of the
most interesting, though! For those of you who missed it, Death showed up, grabbed
DEANNA TROI by the ear and took her away to a place where she won't need a coat.
Congrats to CHISAHARU for revenging the death of his teammate (but more importantly,
feeding HEAVENLY BLUE a bit of dirt). In the 'Oops, What Have I Done?' category,
ENIGMA was mashed by ANSHIN, who let ENIGMA know that killing members of BLACK
SAMURAI is a no-no. Ask not the elves for counsel, for they will say both yes and
no. Silly buggers, eh?
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in LAPUR have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
