DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
The Dwarf in Lin Tirian got to write a column when HE beat the Duel2Dude--we
hear about these things, you know. We KNOW how it's going for the other standbys.
He's an ass over there in Lin Tirian, well, not as much of an ass as a human or, gods
forbid, an elf, but still. Not a true KHALHUMS Dwarf.
I, however, am the real thing. Khalhums all the way, and damned proud of it.
And if I had my rights, I would be the official Duel2Dude, but at least I was
able to sit on Sonora Sara long enough to have my say here.

Thankyouthankyou. It's great for me, The Unknown Spymaster to be back in IAYE.
Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid! Hey everybody,
watch out for DARK STAR, who flew up 15 points in the rankings after mashing LEE like
a melon. Keep your eye on this beast. Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out
on the sands. LEE was bested by DARK STAR and drops 12 points. Our battling
duelmaster SONORA SARA has managed to hold the title, fending off KUNG-FU MASTER's
none too subtle advances. Better luck next time, IAYE. 4 out of 5 gladiators
surveyed protect the body, so try and avoid aiming at that location.
Here is other news that is of note.
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Ask not the elves for counsel,
for they will say both yes and no. Silly buggers, eh?
I think I had better cut this one short. It's been nice chatting to those of

FACE-TO-FACE XXXIV
Our next Winter Face-to-Face will be held on Martin Luther King weekend, Friday
through Sunday, 14-16 January 2005, at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, Arizona (4400 S
Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
If you haven't been to a Face-to-Face before, you're overdue. If you have,
