DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Today I do not speak for myself, but rather for my friend, the late Lord Walton.
It was my pleasure to know him well and to share adjoining fiefdoms in the country.
Lord Walton was 13(+1)-5(+1)-11-15(+1)-17(+1)-14(+1)-15(+1)- a "man's man". He
was born to nobility with +3/4 init and +3 attack. As expected, he did good damage
with normal endurance. He loved weapons and may have been most adept with the
longsword (4/12/3) and the great axe (4/17/1).
He was a friend to all, giving of himself and his monies to various charities--
especially those involving children, of which he had none. He lived by the coda of
Andoria--Health. Humility. Honor.
I shall miss him very much.

SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster here with my bag to give you the news on last
week's fights. A stormcloud is brewing over the CRYSTAL PALACE guildhouse. Rumor
says any more weeks like this ones 0-1-0 may send the team to the Dark Arena. Coming
up with a solid 1-2-0 outing, RAGGED EDGE has advanced 4 places in the rankings.
LENPROS is no joke as it posted a 3-0-1 week advancing from 5th place to 2nd place.
Hey everybody, watch out for CARDINAL ARIZPE, who flew up 20 points in the rankings
after mashing ECK like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. Ya know, some days it
doesn't pay to walk out on the sands. MODBLYE was overcame by DUKE OF WHIRLPOOL and
drops 11 points. Well here's a duelmaster that doesn't sit back and say 'Challenge
me'! LADY HUNTSMAN made a challenge against POP IDOL this week. Going for the gusto
and coming up with aught but bloody knuckles was WORLDLY DECLINE's POP IDOL, who was
turned away from the Duelmastership by LADY HUNTSMAN. 4 out of 5 gladiators surveyed
protect the body, so try and avoid aiming at that location.
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
Here's a song for you: Who's afraid of the big, bad LENPROS? Big bad LENPROS. Big
bad LENPROS. IAYE's afraid of the big bad LENPROS. Tra la la la la! Okay, so I may
not be funny, but catch RESCUE RANGERS II's act in the arena. Those acrobats seem to
be fairly deft at running from LENPROS. And who is this BIGFOOTS you ask, with 102
points and a 18-43-0 record. Ooh, the tales I could tell! Well, it looks like
SERRIS wasn't happy with last turn's rank, so he went for broke by challenging up 28
points. No guts, no glory. This week SERRIS 1-1-0 fought KLINK 7-8-0 and in losing
gained 2 points. I know several gladiators who could go for a few fights like that.
In a touching display by a 'touched' warrior, THE BOY KING went after BIGFOOTS, who
was higher by 25 points. Well, when the dust settled, THE BOY KING was overcame by
BIGFOOTS.
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). It's not often when you see a 9-6-1 warrior
like ECK kick the bucket. I wonder if THE A'S -- LOSERS II will recover from the
blow. Knowing when to use the right tactics at the proper time is a very important
step on the road to Duelmaster.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in IAYE have no sense
of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. Well, there goes another Spy Report.
