SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of IAYE! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Did only my eyes note the 5-0-1 record
which ALL JACKED UP managed to post this round? I don't doubt that such a record
will draw challengers! JACK DANIELS caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial
commission as he skillfully bested TRUSTWORTHY SCRIBE and was awarded 17 points in
recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, HIPS put down SPECKLE, causing
him to lose 15 points of recognition in the process. Although SPUD made a valiant
effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of victorious SIR CARLSON. Informants
"close" to the city champion have told me that he never fights without pantyhose on
beneath his armor. Watch out!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In IAYE "art" is a word that has long
since passed from the language! IAYE, city of gladiators! Mighty among the names of
thy guilds is WRESTLMANIACS, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly duels.
Apparently the stalwarts of LENPROS are catching the bulk of jests down at the
challenging board for their large share of the avoids. Mighty fighters cannot but
expect competition from those below. HELP ON THE WAY take warning! You have more
than a few enemies in IAYE. I cannot but express pride for the fearlessness of ROLA
NYAH who cast caution to the winds and challenged MAJOR MARTIN, a fighter 30 points
higher. Do not the gods reward courage? ROLA NYAH it was that claimed victory in
the bout, while also rising 27 points in recognition.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers
the miserable with fortune but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? Ahh, but I can hear the spires of a far off

There has been a run lately of personals and columns turning up in the wrong
arenas. When you email in something, check and make sure you have the correct
arena number! It's easy for a finger to slip onto the wrong key. When the
receipt comes back, check again to be sure it went where you intended!
