Notes from the arena champ.
I don't belong here on the throne. I drew an easy Chardinee, and lucked my way
into it. Sorta like driving the ball long and way right towards out-or-bounds, only
to have a tree get in the way and ricochet the ball back into the fairway. Or, like
reading the putt to break right, only to push it out right and seeing it, having been
read wrong, break left right into the cup. Sweet, but uncomfortable.
Maybe next time I can show whether I am worthy, or a mere lucky mucker. Maybe.

SPY REPORT
Much has changed in IAYE since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen adapts
to many situations, as do all successful fighters. Ya gotta be quick on yer feet!
Keep your elbow off the table! Thrust! Block out the pain! PACE'S WILD is now
ranked 4th with a 3-2-0 turn. It seems so recently people were saying DELTA BLUES
was washed up, finished. But 3-0-0 moved them up 0. I guess they're washed no
more... What's with LUMBER JACK? It actually beat LENPROS' SENATOR SMITH, and
walked away with 24 more points from the fight. Laughs were big at LENPROS while
they watched HONORABLE HAFALE clobber KAIJHEK. He lost 18 points and got bruised
from objects thrown from the stands. LALA was reminded on the sands why PROFESSOR
PUTT is Duelmaster. I suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about
your fellow fighters? Tough!
No matter the time or place, men will always duel. How well I know the feeling
of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of practive, DELTA BLUES! The
bums at LENPROS couldn't face the challenges from DELTA BLUES! No excuse for that!
How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged warrior, KAIJHEK! Don't
make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you. Maybe PACE'S WILD's TOOTH PACE is
one of those beasts who likes pain, or something. That's what it'll get next week,
after challenging up 33 to LEADBELLY. I don't get it. TOOTH PACE goes and
challenges LEADBELLY, way above it, but gets 4 points after it loses! Is this a new
strategy? MAJOR MILLER didn't quite know what to make of a challenge he received
from CHEVY PACE of PACE'S WILD, who is 23 points below him. CHEVY PACE perhaps got
its just desserts, seeing as it beat MAJOR MILLER and ended up with 105 recognition
points.
Warriors of IAYE unite. You have only your games to lose! LALA of WRATHMEN
didn't know when to quit. When you've got a 16-13-0, that's a good sign. Now she's
dead. Is it my imagination, or are fighters getting younger every day? To die so
young, so gloriously!
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.
IAYE is a nice place to live, but I don't like to live in nice places. Time for my
